Make it a reverse harlem: All the members are male!
-drops out-
Why is it that these "let's make a whatever" threads are limited to anime genres?
I'm really not sure what a reverse Harlem would be, but I'm not going to go there.
Shinigan (Naruto fanfic)NOOOOOOOOO!!! Harem anime is evil. It eats SOULS!

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I'd like a half-reverse harem with a female lead...who is shy...and doesn't know she's bisexual.

And turn it into a full-blown psychological horror.

Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey BitchfestNot all of them are linked to anime...Shounen is becoming something of an artifact title, and there was a "Let's make a space opera."
Plus, in relation to the harem concept...
Nope.avi

This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.I say let's make a harem show that involves all sorts of sexuality; a cast made of straight, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, and whathaveyou.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. How does one have an asexual harem?

This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. So, male or female? That is the question.
I maybe be a "semi-active" member, just throwing in ideas and writing a scene every once in awhile.
Male harem, female is way to common.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.As long as the person the harem centers around is female I'm in. Besides, I like the mental image I'm getting of her trying to hide herself beneath the blankets of her bed while surrounded by everyone else.
♥♥II'GSJQGDvhhMKOmXunSrogZliLHGKVMhGVmNhBzGUPiXLYki'GRQhBITqQrrOIJKNWiXKO♥♥I have an interesting idea. Make the female lead a Manipulative Bastard Villain Protagonist (depending on the setting, could be anything from serious evil to just being a Jerkass Libby) who uses the harem that develops around her for her own gain and doesn't give a damn about anyone else. Her chief antagonist is another girl who sees the Villain Protagonist for what she really is.
Let's Deconstruct this Double Standard filled genre.

This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. No, I rather go the other direction and make the female lead a Genki Girl that is a bit cooky and takes a while to figure out what's happening while the harem ensemble fight it out.
My proposed solution is FirstConfessionWins, although it's way too early to decide that.
Maybe have a two-spoke harem? The good girl and the bad girl, like the above?

That could work.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.Wait, wouldn't deconstructing a harem show using a female lead just lead to other Double Standards?
♥♥II'GSJQGDvhhMKOmXunSrogZliLHGKVMhGVmNhBzGUPiXLYki'GRQhBITqQrrOIJKNWiXKO♥♥Boners for everyone!
There's no space in the name.I have an idea for two of the haremmers: One acts like he's the protagonist of his own love story, trying to protect the lead girl from his villain, the other guy. Everyone else, for the sake of the heroine's sanity, try their best to keep them separated when they go off on their own imaginative fights.
EDIT: Oh, and when the others do try to separate them, the two boys think the other has called in their minions.

♥♥II'GSJQGDvhhMKOmXunSrogZliLHGKVMhGVmNhBzGUPiXLYki'GRQhBITqQrrOIJKNWiXKO♥♥Well, if it involves the villain protagonist using her feminist views as justification...but the two-spokes harem reduces the chance of straw.
Mmm, I think Villain Protagonist would be a little too much for viewers to stomach. Maybe she can have moments of Well-Intentioned Extremist.
♥♥II'GSJQGDvhhMKOmXunSrogZliLHGKVMhGVmNhBzGUPiXLYki'GRQhBITqQrrOIJKNWiXKO♥♥Why don't we just subvert the harem entirely, and have the show about the happy life of a group that's found the Tenchi Solution.
Polyamorous family slice of life?
Wait...
Nah. I want to have the unwanted harem. However, I think we should center the story on the harem themselves, instead of the "protagonist". She's only the force that dragged them into this mess.
Therefore, an oblivious lover would cause a lot of drama—until she finds out, then even more drama ensues.
And I think Act I should end with a great chase scene, as the entire harem chases after one of the members that is going to make his/her the first confession, opening the lover's eyes.
Can I make a lesbian character? I hadn't really made one yet.

Because I'm bored, and The shonen and magical girl projects are popular enough. So, what do you guys think? *Braces self*
