Mister Mac Guffin isn't that bad. A good way to show that it fills the roles of MacGuffin and character.
It's very gendered though. Especially when we have MacGuffin Girl.

"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Sounds like a sitcom. Not a trope.

SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)^ Descriptive, clear. I could get behind Mac Guffin Character.
I agree with "Mac Guffin Character". As for the MacGuffin Girl trope. . . MacGuffin in Girl's Clothing, maybe? Or something about it wearing a "human suit". Gets the idea across that it's not really a girl, but that it looks like one.
Mobile Suit Mac Guffin? Going along with stuff like Mobile-Suit Human.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Eh, that's not a very good snowclone... maybe something like Humanized Mac Guffin?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It seems that the only difference is that one of the tropes has the macguffin suddenly turn into a living thing, and the other has always been human. Since this "MacGuffin Girl" trope really could function without the object specifically becoming a girl, then all this trope needs is a simple rename and some minor re-writing. Once this is solved (which will take anywhere between 20minutes and a week depending on how many people insist that this trope that this trope only applies to women and that any other example is not noteworthy, or says that it would flood the page with new examples) we can close this shop and get to the other 1085 posts and hopefully bring it done until we actually can fix something relevant.
Inanity in 140 characters or moreHow about Livened Macguffin, it could apply to any previously thought inanimate Macguffin suddenly living, or Suddenly Animated Macguffin?
Inanity in 140 characters or moreLeading option looks clear. Is it safe to call?
And how do we establish its relation (if any) to MacGuffin Girl? MacGuffin Girl is where the MacGuffin is not normally a living being but was made one temporarily.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.MacGuffin Girl involves a non-living MacGuffin becoming a Living MacGuffin; since it always results in a Living MacGuffin by definition, that makes it a Sub-Trope.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Except for the plot point that the qualities that the MacGuffin Girl was a MacGuffin for are only present in her non-living form ... although she's still highly sought after by everyone solely because of who she is ... ah, screw it.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I think it's safe to say we have a consensus. Call it?
Crowner has been open since August. Calling it with a final tally of +23 (yeas:25 nays:2) 12.50 : 1 in favor of "Make Living Mac Guffin a Super Trope for any case where the Mac Guffin, for whatever reason, is a living being." All other options ended with negative totals.
Time to start the tedious part. Starring the thread. Description needs to be rewritten, wicks and examples need to be sorted onto the appropriate subtrope pages.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Do we do anything with the old definition of Living MacGuffin (a person of MacGuffin-like importance) ?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Was anything done with this?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Simple - it's most of the rest not counting the subtrope. Or there will be Missing Supertrope anyway. If there's a good split for another subtrope, it can be YKTTW-d later.
...And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense - R.W.WoodBumping. This still needs to be rewritten into a supertrope and the wicks corrected if they go to the subtropes.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Then Mister Mac Guffin handles talking Mac Guffins just fine and is distinct from Egg Mac Guffins.
