While on the topic of Harry Potter, I hated the fifth movie, but the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort is fucking awesome.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."It's more like the only good joke in an unfunny movie, but that scene in Grown Ups where that butterfly zapper is killing the moths, which horrifies Adam Sandler's little daughter. Adam says it's just "taking them to a new place."
David Spade: Hell.
Adam Sandler: Come on!
David Spade: Oh, I'm sorry, not hell. Mexico.
I can't remember much of the 1990s film version of The Borrowers (1997) except that I didn't care for it. However, one part has always stuck with me.
The boy hero and the bad guy are both racing to a room in a large office building. The bad guy rudely demands that the receptionist tell him where the room is. She gives him very long and elaborate instructions and he storms off. The boy then politely asks her where the room is. "Take the elevator to the third floor and turn right. You can't miss it." After he leaves, she smiles and says "Such a nice boy."
Even as a kid I liked that scene but now that I've work in customer service, I can appreciate it more.

Gwen Stacy's death scene, Electro in times square, and Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Movie: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
My opinion: Bland, forgettable adaptation with an ending that makes neither logical nor emotional sense with plenty of Character Derailment to ruin your day. The 2005 film was, IMO, near perfect, but that's another story.
Great scenes: Wonka's entrance and "Pure Imagination". To a whole generation, the former defined Willy Wonka, the latter defined the entire freaking movie. Even as a hater of the 1971 film I have to admit that when Wilder sings "Pure Imagination", time stops and magic happens. If only the rest of the movie was as good...

ERROR: Signature not loadedThe part in Three Kings when George Clooney's character made the Rousing Speech, and the guys with the cars still refused to give them any.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue. The opening scene from 2001 - A Space Odyssey. That will always be among the best movie scenes ever made.

Pity the movie left me cold.
The fight between Neo and Agent Smith in The Matrix Revolutions.
It's not great as a climax to the trilogy (they probably should've saved the burly brawl from the second one for that) but I still think that it's a great fight scene, especially the build up to it. The cinematography, the chereography, the music and the perpetual rain all work well. It might be over the top for some, but it's perfect for me.
Gentlemen, as of this moment, I am that second mouse.
How dare you! That one's my favorite as book and a film! For shame
From the Prisoner Of Azkaban which was far worse than the Columbus films ever were,I liked the Shrieking Shack scene before the werewolf crap.
