I automatically regard that novel as canon. Still won't make me watch ZZ tho. =D
On the upside, every SRW game ever has kept Puru and her clone Puru 2 alive. Usually as teammates for the heroes.
Yeah, DWG is good about that, too. Only in the ZZ history missions does it mention them dying. Otherwise they're frolicking across the battlefield as a great source of lulz and silliness.
It's a shame what happened to Marida though.
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine. The whole Puru army thing especially creeped me out because I only found out about it after slaughtering my way through the final battle with Haman Karn where you're jumped by the silent, black-painted Qubeleys and neither of you know where they came from. It made an already eerie encounter deliciously horrible.
I haven't done any of the missions where he pops up with his army since I did an Archive Binge and found out about them. It's a good thing, too. I would fail that objective.
You really have a hate-on for Glemy, don't you?

"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.He is almost as bad as Katejina.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Yes, I do. Puru fell under the graces of my Big Brother Instinct, which extends to all her clones. Thus, Glemy gets to feel what happens when I go Knight Templar Big Brother.
That's interesting. I guess it's hard to care about finishing missions in a video game if you have to put up with characters you hate, like that guy.
I grew to dislike Master Asia and Domon over the course of both DW games, and had to watch some of G Gundam to salvage them. In Dynasty Warriors they're just a couple of thundering idiots yelling about nothing. Yes, Domon, quote the Gundam Tournament rules while our characters are in a fight for our lives - I'll put a head vulcan round into your cockpit myself!
I did enjoy how some of their quotes fit together with the others, though.
Master Asia: Ha ha ha! I see that my overwhelming strength has left you speechless!
M'Que: A soldier doesn't need praise. Achieving results is his job!

I kinda liked Domon and Master Asia in the DW games actually, if only for how humorously out of place they were with the other pilots.(In the first game, Domon slightly less so, since Puru was pretty comical as well. Serious Zechs really was the odd man out there. Master Asia on the other hand? Paired with Heero and Jerid. Yeah. I found it funny at least.)
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.That's a good point. I guess my problem is just overexposure to hot blood.
The mission mode pairings from the first game were really stellar when it came to Zechs/Domon/Puru. Every cutscene and every mission was lulz. And Puru's ending... Zechs will Never Live It Down. Too, Heero and Master Asia's Big Damn Heroes on one of the last missions was pretty awesome. The Heero/Master Asia team could've been better if they'd had somebody else besides Jerid. He was too flat.
And as far as how my attitude of Glemy/Frontal affect missions. I still finish missions if they're on my team. I just never bother to go save them when they're getting their asses handed to them. However, for those missions where Glemy sometimes pops up with about four mass-production Quebeleys? He would die. The mass-production units....not so much.
I think the intention of the Asia/Heero/Jerid pairing was to be the "inverse" of the Zechs/Domon/Puru pairing (one "hot blood" and two "straight men" as opposed to one "straight man" and two "funny guys") However, as you said, Jerid really didn't do much of note, and most of the interesting interaction was between Heero and Master Asia. Also, having two straight men rarely works, as one usually ends up overshadowing the other (who is also overshadowed by the "funny guy" or in this case, the "hot blooded guy")
I think the only other character pairs where they went out of their ways to try and "contrast" was Char/Amuro (former enemies working together well) to Haman/Kamille (former enemies working together, but bickering and fighting each other all the way). Loran/Emma/Puru Two and Judau/Roux/Scirocco don't seem to contrast or parallel each other at all, so I guess they dropped that gimmick by then.
I got on a tangent there, sorry.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Heero definitely overshadowed Jerid in the Heero/Asia/Jerid trio. Jerid had a couple toss-off resolution moments for his storyline but it really was a Heero/Asia show. The thing about Char and Amuro is that, ideologies aside, they actually follow a similar line of thinking. Put them in an Enemy Mine situation and woe betide whoever's up against them. Haman has too much pride, but it's part of her character so it's okay. After doing an Archive Binge on her I actually feel pretty bad for her. It's nearly enough for me to forgive her Smug Snake tendencies. The others weren't even worth remembering to me. Without a doubt, though, Zechs/Domon/Puru ran the show. Straight Man works well with a Hot-Blooded guy and a Genki Girl.

The new aggressive AI sounds fun. I wonder how it will affect the battles where you're not involved.
For the most part, your team gets creamed as usual. It's about a 10% occurrence that they can actually function alone.
They might get creamed faster, though. That should be interesting.
I usually have time to go save their asses. When I'm willing to, of course.
I wake up every morning to Domon and Master Asia about to open up a can of kick ass against Kira and Athrun.
Do you mean Aces or regular mooks? My Aces were usually competent, they would rarely capture an enemy field on their own, but they could typically hold their own.
Yeah, I mean the Aces. The mook suits I don't even give a second thought to. I just got pretty tired of hearing my allies go from "struggling" to "danger" to "imminent danger" to dead in the space of about thirty seconds to a minute. Especially if they're somebody I want to keep alive, I want to keep my battle gauge full and there's no MS factory on the field, and I'm across the map from them with a unit that doesn't have a maxed thruster gauge or a flight mode.
Awesome.
