I don't think so. Even if you discount the whole backstory about machinedramon being millenniumon, (and make it so it was a random machinedramon instead), the synopsis only indicates that there's a follower of the dark masters, for all we know that person created machinedramon as the beginning of an attempt to revive the dark masters.

So, I have a thought on Digimon Tri:
In Reunion, we see that the 02 kids are in the Digital World. They may or may not be dead. Since then, the Digital World has been reset. What will that have done to the 02 kids? If they were alive, would they still be? If they were dead, would they still be? Would they even be human anymore? Food for thought.

Do the writers even care what happens to them?

They have been referenced at least once per movie so far, and movie time is far more valuable than show time, so it'll likely lead to something.

Well, we saw them getting stomped in Reunion, and Himekawa listed them as missing in her list of Chosen. A fake Ken showed up in Determination, and they all recognized him. And they went to Ken's house in Confession, in addition to Maki having his D3 and D-Terminal. They haven't forgotten, they are just refusing to explain anything. I admit, I'm getting rather cynical about the whole thing myself, but there are still what, two movies left, and they are now in the Digital World. I feel like the answers will have to start coming, especially since secrets about Maki are now coming.

There are three movies left. Not two.

Although the way things are going, we will only know what is going on in the last movie.

If they don't want my hands around their throats, that won't happen.

Finished the Let's Play of Digimon World -next 0rder- (Japanese audio and English translation).

I still don't know why this dude has it so early, but it was nice to see.

Himari reminds me a lot of Nokia, what with being energetic, seemingly not too bright (though less up front about it then Nokia), ridiculously dressed for her age, etc. The biggest difference is that the former seems a little braver then the latter prior to Nokia's Character Development.

Got bored some ways into the post game content (got as far as defeating Armageddmon and then returning to Dimension M to fight both him and Diaboromon again, so I haven't seen any of the stuff with Meicoomon or Rina. I was really in it for the story, which is pretty short when you leave out all the training, recruiting and grinding. Shoma was barely in it before his stepped out into the open as a villain.

Not bad all in all.

I know this isn't the game thread (heading there in just a bit), but I felt that this was more likely to be seen here, since the Digimon game thread doesn't have too many visitors really.

So would you say its among Digimon's handful of genuinely good games?

I guess. I mean, I prefer the Cyber Sleuth pure rpg gameplay to the style from the Digimon World games, but it seems pretty cool all in all. Since it's short though, the Character Development comes pretty quickly all in all.

I've been looking at Savers again for a writing project.

I've missed these characters so much.

I love Gaomon's forms I gotta say.

Plus, it was the series that gathered the (at the time_) entirety of the Royal Knights together for the first time ever. That's a big thing.

I mean, for many of them, it's their only on-screen appearance (poor Ulforce V-Dramon. You deserve better).

I could grasp why many didn't care for Masaru punching everything in the face, but I've made my case about why it's actually a logical progression from the previous series, and I liked the series before that.

Plus, first ever full on human villain in the anime. That's another huge thing.

And perhaps the only full on human villain.

Unless Appmons has one.

Too early to tell, but I suppose there's the possibility of Leviathan being a Red Herring.

So episode 9 of Applimonsters is in the pipe.

Hackmon and his Applidriver (who's name I don't really know) have revealed themselves, and the edge is so sharp, we're all already bleeding.

Also, we learned a little bit more about what Leviathan actually is (a Super AI, and that the AR Fields are it's vision of what the world will look like once it kicks everyone's ass).

So plot is on it's way more or less.

His name's Rei.

Thoughts on Appmon episode 9: Anyway, I kind of find it amusing that in the episode that seemed like it was just a fun break, some characters pointed out that it seemed like a waste of time.

A cute detail was how the two new Appmon introduced only referred to Torajirou as Astra because they only know him through the internet.

I kinda wish that we got to see more interaction between all the Appmon but oh well.

Plot dumps ahoy in this episode, I wonder how much control Appmon have over AR fields considering the Cyber Arena and movie theater don't seem like things that Leviathan would simulate

Next episode, looks like it's time for more plot, more action and more Appmon.

On this week's episode of Appmon...

I was kind of confused as to why Raidramon shared the same name with Veemon's Digivolution with the Digi-Egg of Friendship, then I remembered that the japanese name for the Raidramon of 02 is Lighdramon

And men everytime I see one of those 'Rival With Ambiguous Goals' characters I just cant help but wanting to know the truth sooner

While we don't know for sure why Rei wants the codes, it's likely he doesn't really work for Leviamon. It does look like he's mistakenly played into the hands of.....weird vampire girl mon or whatever her name is, since she's claimed that now NO ONE can beat Leviamon. Since Rei had 3 of the 7 remaining codes now, this must mean that just one person having them isn't anywhere near good enough, even if he is more powerful then they are.

On another note, while there's no proof that Haru's three friends will gain Applidrivers, it's interesting to note that the number of primary human characters is the same as the number of app mode codes. We'll have to wait and see however.

Her name is Mienumon and her motif is actually a chameleon. Look at her hand puppet and her stealth powers.

Catched up to the latest episode of Appmon.

Now Rei seems like a Mix-And-Match of Kiriha (Jerk rival with a reptilian partner) and Nene (Wants to rescue his/her little brother)

Leviathan's logo is plastered all over that hamburger restaurant. I think the heroes may already be in trouble if Leviathan is smart enough to run a business.
