I didn't realize it was a series of books.
Looking for some stories?Once again, damn you Adaptation Displacement
According to its TVTropes page, Aardman initially added a single slug in one scene of Flushed Away. But apparently, Dream Works thought it was Comedy Gold and ordered the entire studio to slip in an entire hoard of singing slugs with annoying voices in places that were too boring!
Too boring...makes you wonder if they actually watched the movie, didn't they?
Looking for some stories? So the thing from the trailer that made me wanna see the movie (but then i wasn't able to see it, and lack of overwhelmy praised turned me off) wasn't even meant to be in it?
Peter Lord's twitpic account has plenty of cool production photos for this film. Well worth checking out.
Why do we Americans have to get the inferior trailer? Why can't we all get the UK trailer and see this movie for what it's truly going to be?
I hope this doesn't go unnoticed in terms of box-office revenue here in the States like Wallace And Gromit and Flushed Away did.
Looking for some stories? Is that Rob Paulsen as the albino pirate?!
Since you called him by his name, I assume you read the book(s)?
Odd-Jobbers Regular TimeYou have shocked and disappointed both my brain, and my emotions, which are inside of my brain. Which is very large.
Odd-Jobbers Regular TimeIMDB doesn't say who voices him. According to Wikipedia (which is sourced), he's voiced by Russell Tovey.
Looking for some stories? So Aardman finally has a taste for pirates. This certainly is something I would have to wait and see for.
It's Aardman. It's gonna be pretty hard to go wrong.
Looking for some stories? Not only do they have a taste for it, but this seems like retribution: they wanted Flushed Away to be a pirate movie!
x10: Not only that, but he also drops a few hints about the plot itself on his Twitter account. Looking through all the past tweets, I've deduced that;
- The Pirate Captain gets a Dream Sequence.
- The Pirate Captain and Cutlass Liz dance a tango at one point. Circumstances unknown.
- There's a scene in Queen Victoria's kitchen.
- Something happens involving Darwin and a plunger. I don't know what it is, but I really want to. Okay, technically Pete said it was something the animators were rehearsing, but the way he worded it makes it sound as though a plunger is used in the actual film. It probably gets weaponized somehow. This IS a pirate movie, after all.

Looking for some stories?Could this be Hugh Grant's comeback?
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Quite possibly.
He sounds quite good in the trailers, and Peter Lord has had no shortage of nice things to say about him and his performance. I'm remaining hopeful.

Looking for some stories? There's plenty of new stuff - our first good looks at Black Bellamy and the Pirate King, some of the London scenes and, most importantly, why the pirates end up going to London. It seems that Polly being the last dodo is more important than we initially thought. Darwin in this trailer is reminding me of Victor from Corpse Bride. I like this exchange in particular:
—> Darwin: But those are impossible odds!
—> Pirate Captain: It's only impossible if you stop to think about it.
It's starting to seem like the Doctor has become the companion...did I really just make that joke?? Well, someone was eventually going to.

Looking for some stories?Reeks of "Giving Away Too Much Of The Plot". Hilarious though.
Another new trailer, this one for the US.
I'm gonna go ahead and call it; Darwin is the Butt-Monkey. I had a feeling things would go downhill for him once he got caught up in the Pirate Captain's quest. Let's hope he'll Take a Level in Badass, because he could definitely use it.
About that airship of Queen Vicky's: only onscreen for a few seconds and it already looks awesome. I'm hoping that in the end the Band of Misfits steal it and become Sky Pirates. That'd be cool.

Looking for some stories? There's plenty of great gags here.
What about that split second scene in the trailer when this sexy-looking (a la Jessie Jane, but brunette) pirate comes in the kitchen and makes the posh old guys awe-ed and drop thier monicules? I hope that the pirate girl will be the bounty hunter of the Queen, if that happens.
PS: Ghost pirate mistaken for bounty at the end....LOL + EPIC FAIL
"The Horn of Protection is here for you, Timmy!" - Hank the Super Cheese Loving Rhino Guard from Fairly Odd Parents
Yeah, but you still saw the same trailer I did. With the ghost ship and the leper ship and the sudden appearance of the sea monster from the map?
"Aren't you cold, Finn?"
