Well, we gotta think of the end result.

If Smokey loses, then America loses its teacher on wildfires. Acres of forests will go up in flames, California will be rendered helpless to the fires.

If Mc Gruff loses, then we can't take a bite out of crime. The crime rates shoot back up. Rioters will run rampant on the streets!

Actually I think we just figured out who wins.

So, double KO then?

The wildfires will spread into the cities and take Scruff out too if he wins.

Crime will eventually lead to the fall of civlization and mankind will return to a hunter-gatherer model, in which many of us will need to spread out into the woods and hunt food sources, so Smokey's bound to be on the chopping block too if he wins.

This Death Battle might actually be darker than Robotnik vs Wily, Bison vs Kahn, and Digimon vs Pokemon combined.

I wonder if this battle will involve other Public Service Announcement characters, such as Graham or the Natural-Born Smoker.

It's not only a fucking bear vs a bloodhound but the bear is also armed with a shovel that has been shown to be able to chop through trees.

Predicting Smokey too. Never watched any of the PS As these characters come from, but Smokey seems to be proactive in fighting forest fires, whereas Mc Gruff seems to be more about precaution than outright dealing with criminals.

Also, considering Portugal's suffered some awful fires this summer, it just feels right to root for the bear.

So I mentioned Sokka vs Ling a while back but that doesn't work due to the latter being overpowered. So I thought about another opponent for Sokka that could work; Caleb from WITCH. both are badass normal rebel commanders who fight alongside mystical elementals.

Personally, I think Sokka would be a good matchup for Jaune Arc, from RWBY.

Both are the relatively-unpowered strategists on their teams, are swordsmen, end up the butt of jokes, and have disatrous love lives.

I've seen Usopp suggested as an opponent for Sokka on the subreddit r/whowouldwin.

Those people must want to see Sokka horribly, horribly murdered then. Usopp would give most benders that aren't the Avatar a run for their money with his wide array of tricks and long range sniping attacks. Sokka wouldn't have a prayer.

Usopp would only be a match if we used him before he got to the Grand Line, by which point he was basically a guy with a slingshot and a lot of clever tricks up his sleeve

Funny you should say that. I just found the thread in question again, and the OP suggests three different fight scenarios, one of which has them fighting with the strength/skill level they had at the beginning of their respective series.

The lack of Arm Fall Off Boy is dissapointing.

Did they keep it to serious characters only? Arm-Fall-Off-Boy was specifically designed to be a character with a stupid power. The point of his character is that his powers suck. He was introduced to be a rejected applicant for the Legion of Superheroes.

That's the kind of character that seems unfair to count when you're talking about characters with shitty powers. He's not really a character. He's a brief gag.
