Humaniod Abomination's

First some background information, in my world mages/wizards/warlocks are more or less young Eldrich Abominations. At first when they ware born they are like any other normal child then at some point they start developing Reality Warper powers. After that the older they get the more they start to head into the uncanny valley, unless pushed by outside events/forces (PTSD, stress, abuse, etc). At which point they would start developing Lovecraftian Super Powers. Either way they end up as Humaniod Abominations.

Now here's where I need help. I have 4 main characters who have basically be drafted into a war to serve as war mages. I need help coming up with good ideas regarding their transformations.

Character 1: She has An Ice Person and Kill Itwith Water associated powers. Bastard daughter of a Blue Blood mother. Arrogant, and thematically connected to Food/Famine. First transformation is Hellish Pupils of the goat type. I was thinking to head in the Wendigo direction, but I've also thought of her becoming a pure water elemental, losing all body and being basically a sentient pool of water.

Character 2: Killitwith Fire. The Hero. Goes through a Break the Cutie sequence and falls prey to The Corruptor due to precieved faults in living up to the Fathers Legacy and the death of The Lancer. A Protagonists Journeyto Villain. Theme (Power)lust. I was thinking about heading in the vampirism route but now I'm not so sure.

Character 3: Weather Control. He fancies himself as a Knight Errant and places a lot of concern on honor. Thinks he's in a Courtly Love situation with Character 1 (he might be right.) Somewhat Wrong Genre Savy he thinks he's in a epic romance while it's closer to Dark Fantasy (Consequently he thinks character 2 and character 4 have a Courtly Love). End's up as part of a rebellion against Character 2. Theme Pride. This character I have no clue what to do with and need the most help with.

Character 4: Darkis Not Evil. Part of a family that was only elevated to the nobility 4 generations ago. Mostly content to sit back and see where things go. Guile Hero and probably would have ended up as The Spymaster if it had'nt already been filled. When things start to go back he goes to Walk the Earth. Theme: Apathy. So far his fate seems to be to become a Living Shadow.

I already know how the story begins and ends,so this is a refinement. Also I'm here because I have writers block with this aspect of the characters, and seeking others opinions has never seemed like a bad thing when taken with a grain of salt.

Bumping, because I still need help. The only other idea that I've come up with is for Character 3 to become a living storm or bird person. If it needs clarification, this (the transformations) are not the main plot of the story, that's the war.
