Wow, I Lied is the most common trick in the book.
Also, the poor guy's family has probably already been sacrificed.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."It is worth noting that one of Viruses personality traits is he's a coward.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Ciaphas Cain is a coward too, and that doesn't make him a moron.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Isn't being an idiot his second trait?
I'd say Virus simply seems to lack some common sense. Isn't it obvious they're going to shoot them anyway?
Also... Wow, now this is getting Darker and Edgier allright. So far, the only deaths were either Mooks/Redshirt Army or were played for(dark) laughs(Case in point, Antelope Bastard). This, however... Eastwood's gonna lose his shit again.

grahI'll state this, we try and avoid going Darker and Edgier as much as possible. We try and play everything for laughs, sometimes we have to go serious for a second just to move the story on, but we always try and end on a joke. We shall not ever succumb to Cerebus Syndrome, cos if we do I fucking quit.

Assuming you can evade Eastwood until he leaves for art school in Brazil.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. That's why I'll be bringing the shotgun.
The only way the next strip could go seriously Cerebusy, is by all four getting killed and that'd be the end of comic anyway
Or perhaps we switch to the adventures of the B-Team. , who become the new four, and everything plays out exactly like you would expect in a cheesy 80's action film.
Actually that wouldn't be half bad. *typy typy*
True, going all gloomy and edgy would ruin the comic. Actually, I still almost spit my drink seeing Glicker's blank expression, accompanied by Eastwood's flip out. I'm a horrible person.
Out of curiosity, Sire, are you planning on Jamilla/Wildfire's return for some another arc(or this one, for example)?
grahIt's something that I want to do but it's not currently on the cards. She'll turn up in some backgrounds. She just doesn't really fit into a lot of the stories I have written lately. I don't want to stick her in where it doesn't feel natural. She will be back at some point.
Also to note, latest story isn't by me, mostly by Eastwood and Virus.
I gotta say I'm enjoying the comic. I have to wonder if Virus somehow switched out the soul jar for something more...explosive.
The mix of silly and serious sort of messed this one up a bit. "Get to da spectre" indeed.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Uh, wow. Virus's "surprisingly clever" indeed.
Though I still kinda pity Marley's family. I still couldn't help laughing at Eastwood's "Magic Bookend" though, so I assume we have that tragedy behind us.
grahAwww guys, you shouldn't have.
So apparently Virus is scouring TV Tropes for comic titles.

Ah, it's always nice to see an open honest employee-employer relationship.
Nice to see that Morth is Genre Savvy enough not to trust a guy named JANUS.*

They are Patterner cultists. Any with even trace amounts of trust do not live up to their ranks.
#408 is up and Morth's dastardly plan revealed.
Also we have a comments section for the comics now, if so interested.
I love the badgers in related videos Perfect little touch
In which Virus throws all of his common sense out the window.
