Metal Gear/ Metal Gear Solid

I like Metal Gear, I really do. I like the Gekko battle in Guns of the Patriots, you know, Act 4. And getting the chance to fight Vamp again was great.

But I laugh everytime I rewatch that battle. Sure, Snake, you handle the platoon of bipedal, elephant-sized tanks with that railgun you just picked up and certainly haven't picked up any ammo for. Raiden, you fight the now-mortal super soldier on top of REX.

After what we saw Raiden do in Act 2, why not have Snake snipe/Mikoto Misaka Vamp's ass, and then work together to handle the Gekkos?

So this summarizes all of Metal Gear ever.

Will the Phantom Pain come with Ground Zeroes will they remain separate?

Kojima's going to have to remake every Metal Gear Solid title at least twice to make everything make sense.

I doubt it, since that would be a pretty big fuck you to everyone who bought Ground Zeroes, unless there's a discounted version of TPP that doesn't include GZ.

I hope they include Ground Zeroes with Phantom Pain.

Ground Zeroes will probably be in the bargain bin when PP releases anyway.

I'm firmly convinced that there's going to be a version of Phantom Pain that comes bundled with Ground Zeroes (probably for like, $10 more).

There will have to be a "bundle" of sorts, considering that GZ and TPP were supposed to be the same game. When it'll be released, I have no idea, but probably at a later date..?

My money is on the Tuesday nearest to March 18, 2015.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the main TPP getting released then at least, but I don't know about the whole bundle.

Oh, it will be bundled at launch. Ground Zeroes is, in theory, necessary playing for Phantom Pain. They'll want to make sure its in people's hands.

Thing is while looking at Ground Zeroes case in a store it said that playing it will unlock additional content for The Phantom Pain. It made me wonder if the bonus only applied when they are seperate or if there was a bundle if it would still be there.

Why would it be any different? That's inherent to the game. They would actively have to remove that.

The TPP bonus from Ground Zeroes is some Mother Base personnel exclusive to people who got first run copies of GZ; its basically a "thank you, here's some help to get you started." Not some exlusive DLC mission or a ton of limited shit to be divided amongst 10 $100+ collector's editions and then never released to the public at large.

I watched the analysis and gameplay footage for Metal Gear Solid 2 and needless to say, I never gonna sleep well ever again. MGS 2 made me question reality in way that Phillip K. Dick could be proud.

I'm replaying Snake Tales in Substance after a long time since last I played them, and I forgot how cool some of them are.

Having no radar also makes you really stay on your toes and learn to pick sound cues from the enemies.
