Discussion of religion in the context of LGBTQ+ rights is only allowed in the LGBTQ+ Rights and Religion Thread.
Discussion of religion in any other context is off topic in all of the "LGBTQ+ rights..." threads.
Attempting to bait others into bringing up religion is also not allowed.

And did you guys read of that California lawyer that is trying to get a law passed to literally execute homosexuals?
I wonder if such a move is actually going to be worth it for his reputation.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesSorry, I didn't hear anything of that yet.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell I do not know if any of these sources are "trustworthy" in the sense of "they are not going to go on BS" so I am going to link a few in hopes of at least one of them being trustworthy enough.
and Here
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes...What.
"Yup. That tasted purple."He just wants attention and remember there is no such thing as bad publicity, I guess.
I am just wondering if that is the kind of publicity that is actually going to help him.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesHe kind of makes God sound like a terrorist there.
I get bored of people saying "change the definition of marriage".
Every state already has its own definition of marriage and giving it to two people of the same sex won't make another one.
At times I forget what reason anyone has against same sex marriage other than "I don't like it. "
Video related.
Why shouldn't we change the definition of marriage anyway? The current one is shit.
Because traditionalists hate any sort of change.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I hate change so much I never edit my posts

It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI somehow missed this video before. Hank is
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Alabama to Federal Law and Supreme Court: Fuck you!
This is not going to end well for Alabama, they're pretty much begging for an ass-pounding.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.I am sort of hoping for a Little Rock Nine sort of thing now.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSweet Home, Alabama...
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesTo elaborate a little more by the way, Alabama State Court has decided - 7-1 - to ignore the Federal ruling that marriages, same or opposite sex, are allowed in the state. They're blocking same-sex marriages by fiat, which is in against federal law and SCOTUS.
Of course it falls to that backward land of hicks to do something like this...(obviously the whole state isn't like that, but clearly large parts of the legislature are).
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username. And they're pulling out the reproduction thing. Apparently the government sanctions marriage to encourage popping out babies. I can only assume that they're also going to order no marriage licenses for menopausal and otherwise infertile couples, because I'm sure they aren't just grasping for something that sounds better than "gay people icky."
Next up: Legislation on cooties.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesFor a while I had a vaguely adverse opinion to that guy in the video after seeing some of his other videos, but now he seems so much cuter. ;p
As for Alabama, I'm imagining another Union and Confederacy in this Marriage Civil War. I wonder who will be Grant and who will be Lee.
"... [T]hey're pretty much begging for an ass-pounding."
Maybe not the best expression to use here, especially given Ben Carson's comments (Dude, Not Funny!?)
But yes, it is such a stupid legal argument by the Alabama Supreme Court. There's no constitutional support for the idea that states can nullify federal laws/U.S. Supreme Court opinions. Although conservatives on the Supreme Court may agree with Alabama in terms of antipathy to same sex marriage, they are never going to support the principle of nullification.
That sodomy law has to be satire. It would be in any state that wasn't California or Alabama. I can't think of any other places where someone can type "giver of freedom and liberty commands us to suppress" with a straight face. Also, denying employment to people he previously said should be shot, and calling the entire Supreme Court gay.

"The ones we didn't manage to kill... yeah, don't hire those guys."
Woman who complains about transgender woman at Planet Fitness has her membership cancelled, whines about it to media. Someone call her the waaahmbulance.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswWell if she was that uncomfortable about it, it may have been good that she had her membership revoked.
One person asking a company to change their policies seldom goes over well. And a third bathroom for trans people is just too much.
...you would need FOUR bathrooms for ciswomen, cismen, transwomen AND transmen.
And one for people who identify as neither.
And people who identify as both.
And people who...
So his logic is that because Prison Rape is a thing, all homosexuals are that way by choice?
"Yup. That tasted purple."
