I think it's supposed to be ambiguous. They never refer to this version of her by her first name or any gendered pronoun, or otherwise indicate one way or another. It's a mystery that'll probably never get solved.
Anyway... syphillis.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think the ambiguity is deliberate-this season seems to be set in the aftermath of WW 2, and female police officers were not exactly common at the time. I think Poovey is a woman passing as a man to avoid the questions and ostracization that would result. That she is also tall, broad and strong means she has no problem fitting in.
Ten bucks Archer finds out the truth by accidentally copping a feel.
"Uh, well, in that case... 'action'?"
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah that entire scene was not something I was expecting.
Well, I guess that's pretty much the best backstory for Krieger we're ever going to get.
I watch this on Teletoon and I've noticed that this season they've used the word "fuck" a few times, and Teletoon doesn't bleep it. Have they ever said "fuck" in a previous season?
Yes, but it was bleeped. I'm pretty sure that's the reason they say "shit" all the time in places it would usually be "fuck", because it isn't censored.
I missed last night's episode... I need to check when it airs again.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Caught up on last week's episode, and saw the new one.
Jesus Christ, what Barry did to Trexler and his men.
Ba-dum-tssh!

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Based on that Imagine Spot I'm now almost positive that Puvey is actually a man.
Which, if this is all in Archer's head, really puts his relationship with Pam in a bizarre light, considering they've had sex MULTIPLE times.
Well, apparently Archer has a penchant for kathoey, enough that Lana was able to accurately guess where he was after the season 6 finale. Also his consideration with the former dictator president for life in prison. Honestly, I don't think Archer would care all that much, apart from the trauma of that incident with the psycho who took advantage of him and wanted to start a B&B in Vermont.

I like how even though this season is a slightly more realistic alternate universe of sorts, tonight's episode consisted almost entirely of a battle against a deranged cyborg armed with a halberd riding a motorcycle.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Damn it, Barry's still a cyborg in this universe?
My various fanfics.Archer ran him over with a truck way back in episode 1.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'd upvote that if I could.
But yeah, that was a pretty fine episode with all the wackiness. Though, I gotta say, that last plot twist at the end was somewhat predictable, but if this means we finally get to see Archer shoot Malory in the face, I'm all for it.
And the season is now over. I kept thinking that we were going to cut back to the real world at the end and see Archer wake up from his coma, but no dice.
Maybe we're getting another alternate universe after this one? I kinda like what they did with this, so I'm not opposed to it.
Well that was certainly something that happened. I hope the last two seasons do something else, because this felt like three ideas stapled together that did not quite work-Coma=>soul searching, soft reboot Alternate Universe, and back-to-basics retread to recapture the feel of the first couple of seasons.
If they keep going with the Dreamland universe it's going to be weird without Lana.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Given the genre shifts from the past few season, I'm thinking maybe Archer goes into an entirely different dream next season?
Does Archer now count as a Universal-Adaptor Cast? Do you think they'll just keep putting the cast in different settings?

I've been blowing straight through this series for the past week, and I'm currently smack dab in the middle of season 5 Archer Vice. Can't wait to catch up and watch the new season so I can read through all those spoiler tags!
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541I think the most important thing said in the episode is "She's dead, because she was shot seven times, and nobody survives that, even in an alternate universe."
So I don't think we're leaving coma dreams until they take Archer off life support.
When he told Woodhouse, "I'll see you next week, or let's play it by ear", my first thought was joining him, rather than visiting the grave again. Which may be intentional. May be a comment on whether the show gets renewed or not.

Something I'm pretty sure I know the answer to already, but in this dream season, is Pam actually supposed to be a man?
