It was cross-promotion with The Force Unleashed. And it makes just as much sense as Link or Spawn.
Also, you don't seem to understand how Assassin's Creed works.
Uh... Ryu Hayabusa is present day, and Cloud and Marth come from Schizo Tech not-Earth planets. So while I don't disagree that they'd be more fitting, it's an inconsistent argument.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyGuilty as charged. Haven't played Assassin's Creed.
It's not virtual reality. It's accessing the memories of an ancestor through a virtual interface. Ezio isn't a fictional character, he (in the world of Assassin's Creed) existed and was active in the late 15th to early 16th centuries.
Still, it actually proves my point that he's much more fitting in the Soul Calibur universe than Star Wars, since the game takes in the 15th century and Ezio existed around that time if I understand better.
The series takes place from the late 16th Century to early 17th Century.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I think we have established that Soul Cal Edge doesn't give a fuck with guest fighters if they let George Lucas slip them mones to put Darth Vader in 4. Karl the Butcher Shitter for SC 6
Apparently Dante was supposed to be in Soul Calibur 3, so I'd say him as next guest-character.
Dante would be pretty cool, but I dunno if his game has enough of a profile for them to consider it. :/ Did he ever get a sequel, or are there any clues that one's in development?
EDIT: Wait, from Dante's Inferno, or DMC? 'Cause I guess I can see DMC's Dante fitting in too, kinda.

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyThey might be talking about Dante from Devil May Cry. In which case, I hope it's more like Classic Dante, and not DMC: Devil May Cry.
DMC Dante. Dante's Inferno came out years after SoulCalibur III
every little word and every little stepDante, not Donte.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, apparently the deal was DMC 3 used some assets from Namco and in return Namco would have gotten to have Dante as a guest in SCIII. Kinda like what happened with Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne except in reverse.
Sparda would've made more sense I think and fit better.
Man, it'd be cool if we had something official to comment on...
But yeah, Ganondorf would be cool, based off what I do know about Lo Z.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniCorrect on all accounts.
Whilst a good suggestion, Dante is the face of his series and is more well known in general. So consider that as well.
I just find it funny that after it's taken me years to just accept "sword slashes don't cut someone in half," SCIV came along and made me try to resuspend my disbelief that lightsabers can't cut swords.

Yes, even the armor and undergarments. Rocks, the whole thing.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyWhat's funny is how you still take chip damage even if you block as Yoda or Vader.
"Ow, my lightsaber!"
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm tellin' ya, cortosis. Fucks lightsabers right up.
Luke and Mara had to tunnel through it with 'sabers once. Took forever. 'Sabers kept getting broken.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyHuh, I just realized that "Soul Series" is no longer a great descriptor for the series thanks to Demons Souls/Dark Souls.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I suppose we'll have to fall back on "Soul Calibur series"
I still stand by the the Star Wars characters are the most out of place guest characters in the series. Even if you use the "long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away" the science fiction elements in Star Wars still doesn't fit Soul Calibur's medieval setting. Ezio from Assassin's Creed at least looks like he could be from the past, even if you remember that most of the game takes place in virtual reality.
Edit: I just want to add, how did the idea of Star Wars being in Soul Calibur even come about? Who came up with that idea?
I'm hoping for the next game, they put in characters more fitting like Cloud from Final Fantasy, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, or if there's a new Soul Calibur game for the Wii U (which you can doubt, but I can dream) Marth from Fire Emblem.
