You guys are lucky. I don't even have the oppurtunity to buy the game, because it's not being sold (nor ever will) here. sad I'm limited to second-hand reading on the game from the 'net.

Started to play this yesterday, it's very good. Like Devil May Cry but sexy.

[up][up] If there's one game in the world worth importing... It's probably something in the Super Robot Wars continuity. But Bayonetta's a close second.

For reasons I will keep to myself, importing is out of the question, too. sad

Sadzors. I suppose just outright pirating it is out of the question, then, too.

My hats off to you, in hopes that you will find a brighter future in your quest to control/ogle extremely hot badass angel-slaying witches. *Melancholic melody*

Same as any other weapon: Just open up the weird equip-wheel and attach'em to the foot slot of either A or B. Only weapon i've found that only has one equip slot (The hands, in this case) is the katana, but i've only found four in total so far anyhow.

[up][up][up] Pirating is possible, though it would only work if there's either a PC version, or an emulator for any of the consoles that the game works on. I don't know of a reliable site to get emulators for anything beyond PSX, though.

Thinking it over, I'll withdraw judgement till I finish the game, or at least unlock some more weapons. And holy hell, you guys are way better than me at this game, I'm Stoning every level on Normal.

According to Kamiya's creator walkthrough of the game, if you shoot at a wall with X(square button on PS 3) it reveals that Bayonetta has been shooting shapes the entire time.

She draws capital 'B's and hearts with her bullets.

[up]You just reminded my that I haven't finished my Pure Platinum run.

[up] Doing It for the Art much?

[up][up] Don't feel bad, i suck too. Then again there's the weird thing of getting "Silver medal! Silver medal! Gold medal! Silver medal! Gold medal! Platinum medal! PURE platinum medal! Silver medal! No deaths! No items used! FINAL SCORE: STONE AWARD!" This game was essentially made to belittle you.

Speaking of belittling the player, i've noticed that pretty much everyone hates Luca because of his over the top behavior. Most of the people i've talked too think he's obnoxious, pretentious, annoying and useless. The thing is i actually like him...

... Because he reminds me of me. Ouch.

Anyways, i'm on chapter HOLY CRAP WATER BOSS now. I've realized i missed about three weapons so far. Bollocks.

Barring the final boss, that's my favourite boss in the game.

I fucking hate the Father Balder lipstick bullet time gimmick. I failed that bit a dozen times.

I got it and the planet one on the first try, but I already knew what to do with those. The planet one is a bit harder since the planets's gravity pulls you in.

though it was awesome, it kind of made little sense. Weren't they near earth at that part? So how did she get punched from the edge of the galaxy?

[up]They were still moving even when Jubileus made her space bubble.

[up][up][up][up]You can just use level select to go back to earlier areas and get the stuff you missed.

No way, the lipstick bullet is way harder, mainly because you cant see the glass shards in advance. With the planets you only have to steer as far away as possible as soon as they come into view.

[up][up]If you're constantly moving you will, most of tthe time, dodge the glass without even noticing.

[up]Nope, it's available from the beginning. Press RB(R1 on PS 3) in the chapter menu and you get a whole bunch of options.

Honestly, I felt Jubileus was the lamest, most poorly-explained boss fight in the entire game. Especially after the condensed awesome that was fighting Balder. I mean, she's basically just another "giant, slow statue" fight; more clumsy and less interactive than any of the Virtues.

Part of my issue with this game's presentation is how rarely Bayonetta ever seems to actually be at a loss or fighting an even match. She's one hell of a Smug Snake for me; she needs Luca around simply to have someone she can interact with in an amusing form of condescension instead of simply annoying.

I think it was stated somewhere that Word of God is that Bayonetta is deliberately designed to take Devil May Cry's usual Crazy Awesome, Rule of Cool and Badassery and dial it Up To Eleven (i.e. Refuge in Audacity). In that light, it seems logical that Bayonetta would at least maintain the appearance of being totally unflappable - assuming that she isn't so Crazy Awesome that she is totally unflappable.

Well, yes, but as always with an "invincible" hero, it's difficult to toe the line between Showy Invincible Hero and a tedious Smug Snake whom the audience actively wants to see smashed down, just once. Bayonetta often fell into the latter for me when she wasn't around Luca.

She was never more endearing than when she wasn't quite in control of things.

Dante is exactly the same. Since this game is from the guys who did the first DMC, I dont see why you find it so surprising Bayonetta would be just as smug.

TBH, she kind of borders on Mary Sue. In any other game with less Refuge in Audacity, I think she'd attract a sizeable Hatedom.
