What would your character do in the above situation?

Rho would be very disappointed in his own bad judgment of character and take the person to small claims court before parting ways. (And this is why these sorts of situations will never happen to him in a story; he's boringly practical about domestic matters.)

Situation: Your character has just been given a monkey's paw that will grant wishes (ala The Monkeys Paw ). What do they do with it?

Dr Barant would study it. First, she'd look at it under a microscope, X-ray it, wave a Geiger counter in front of it, and check for magnetic fields around it (magic in her 'verse often causes radiation or magnetic fields). Then she'd hook it up to all of the above and make a carefully-worded wish for something of no practical importance to her. (Eg: 'I would like to have a legally-obtained, safe to eat lollipop with a diameter of 3 cm appear on the table in front of me.') She'd look at the readouts from her machines as the lollipop came into being, and then run copious tests on said lollipop. Her next two wishes would take a similar form, and then she'd look for another person willing to make their three wishes on her command.

Your character has a vicious headache and blacks out. Upon awakening, he/she is completely paralyzed and is told by a doctor that he/she will never regain mobility.

Mathias Watkins: Regain mobility through sheer Hot-Blooded-ness and a refusal to let that stop him.

Tenchi Yamanaka: Regain mobility through mental discipline knowing that there is very little that is truly impossible.

Situation: Your character is involved in an incident that completely destroys his/her legs. (As in they are ripped off, blown off, etc.) How does he/she respond?

A mysterious stranger gives your character a book, pleading them to keep it safe, while warning that reading it would cause terrible things to happen to his loved ones.

July would likely take it and read it anyway, because at the moment his only loved one is an Outer God and he figures whatever bad shit comes the Eldritch Abomination's way, well, he/it can deal.

Your character finds a winning lottery ticket. What do they do?

Jacob: Struggle over it for a period, then cash it and donate most of the money to charity, the rest being just enough for the following:

• The next two months' rent.
• A copy of David Park Barnitz's The Book Of Jade.
• Another lottery ticket, which he will proceed to leave in the same place.

Philip: Look confused.

Mike: Cash it and buy records. Lots of records. Also, make a coat out of money to avoid having to carry a wallet.

Your character is struck by lightning and barely survives. What do they do?

Illiana would try to use her psychic abilities to at least mitigate damage to her internal organs and nervous system, or she would temporarily cut off her pain receptors while tending to her injuries. If physically able, she'd administer nanomachine medical treatment on herself by using a jet injector kit filled with cellular reconstitution stimulants and anti-combustion package to prevent endotoxic shock (to repair burned or disintegrated internal tissue linings). Depending on the external damage, she would also have to take a medicine nanite bath for at least one hour so as to prevent brain damage and restore stable cardiovascular function Her organic suit of armor might be able to protect her cardiac arrest, but the shielding required would hurt it in the process.

If unconscious, the organic suit of armor integrated with her body would transmit an emergency vitality signal along with an IFF (identification friendly-foe) signature to any allies within a set operational radius.

Jasa would do all of the above, but because she has electrokinetic powers, she'd likely construct a Faraday cage to protect herself from the high voltage.

Your character boards a boat, bus, train or other public transportation unit and encounters someone trying to kill him/her. What does the character do?

Freya would jump out the nearest window and run like the demon possessed him. To his credit, he was fourteen, in his own rights a criminal (petty crimes mostly, but, you know...), and he was already scared half to death by the continuous misfortunes that seem to get attracted to him like flies to honey.

Situation: If your character is stripped of his/her sight, hearing and voice...

Tash use various magical means to help him in lieu of his missing sense(s). Or finally cave in to his mother and move back home.

Riff try and cope, and when he couldn't Tash would be there for him.

Situation A friend your character hasn't seen in many years shows up under suspicious circumstance.

Situation: Someone of incompatible orientation who is a close friend professes an attraction to you.

Cora: She's had an annoying admirer before, and, after nearly saying something sarcastic, remembers how Jasper turned out and tries to let them down gently.

Ran: Also lets them down gently, because in her original canon, this happened to her: She crushed on Nick, before Nick admitted he was gay. (In the retooled canon, she doesn't, and learns Nick is gay due to a variant on Have You Tried Not Being a Monster?. They have a were-tiger friend, and Nick uses that to explain that he, too, knows what it's like being ostracized.)

Ace would be really weirded out. She rarely sleeps and then only where it's secure. Waking up with unknown injuries would indicate a plague relaps w/ delearium. First she would be like "o crap, not again". Then she she would want to thank whoever helped her survive this one and apologies for any damage/bloodshed she may have caused while out of her head.
