This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

There were some more problems than that in the past, namely shipping-based edit warring. Don't know about B. though.

Given that Victorious Childhood Friend is a romance trope, I'm pretty sure its removal would have been part of the shipping wars. From what I've been given to understand, this nonsense has been going on for literally decades now, and it's been affecting the page for as long as I've been on the site. It's not just going to go away over a few months.

@lycropath: If the article needs expansion, post requests in Edit Requests for Locked Pages. That's the only way that page is going to get edited again as far as I'm concerned. Unless you can somehow stop the shipping wars.

Why? It was empty. If you want to make a new trope, go to YKTTW. If you want to create a works page, see How To Create A Works Page. We don't make new Main redirects.

I can't figure out why Stealth Pun/Pinball is locked — the page doesn't even exist yet (as far as I can tell), but it can't be created because it's locked...?

Probably because it was merged into StealthPun.Other.
Can someone unlock Arbitrary Minimum Range so I can finish launching it? Made a mistake that somehow resulted in the lock.

Edit: StealthPun.Pinball contained only a single example, by far too few to justify a subpage, never mind such a specific one.

The most recent version of Science Is Good that's available to the history is a junk stub. If there's an older version that had something of value, it might be useful if someone could link it from the Wayback Machine.

Looking through the Wayback Machine, the only case of it actually being a page I can find (dated September 5, 2012) is an incoherent random stream of babble. As best as I can tell, there was never anything there worth saving.
Could someone change Made Of Win Archive Early 2010 to put Series.Gaming In The Clinton Years in its proper namespace?

Quotes.No Sell is locked, presumably as part of the confusion over the grammar of the name that led to the trope being redirected to No Sale. I was going to drop one of the extra quotes there, so unless there's another reason to keep it locked that I'm unaware of, it should be unlocked.

YMMV.The Spongebob Squarepants Movie was locked because there was an edit war over the Complete Monster entry for Plankton and Dennis. However, I think enough time has passed that it can be unlocked again.
A) The page was fine until one person deleted Victorious Childhood Friend from the list and got it locked, there was hardly a war about anything.
B) Besides there are plenty of tropes that are launched far more recently that apply even if a game has been out a long time, not to mention there are many things the character articles can still use expansion on.
