A Feminine Hero?:

My briefcase. Now.
While I was designing The Hero of my story, I couldn't help but notice how feminine he turned out to be.

Appearance-wise, he's a very pale Dude Looks Like a Lady (and yes, he's a Bishōnen) who is frequently mistaken for a girl. Once he came to school wearing female uniform and everyone, including The Lancer, mistook him as a girl and some even tried to ask him out. He even wears a ribbon (you know, that kind of stringy stuff? How do you call that?) in his fights.

Attitude-wise, he's, while can be an extremely ruthless Combat Pragmatist, (see Is My Hero Too Violent thread) outside fights, very gentle, good at houseworks, especially cooking, likes serving tea to his visitors, sometimes including burglars, and generally act like a male Yamato Nadeshiko. He has his own firm sets of ethics, but mostly he's very submissive to authority figure.

He's Bi the Way (Everyone Is Bi in my story, it appears.) who doesn't mind The Lancer, also bisexual Memetic Molester with No Sense of Personal Space more or less groping him.

Mind you, he's more or less a teenage Kung-Fu Wizard soldier who hunts down Eldritch Abominations and his modus operandi preferred method of killing is either setting them on fire, crushing their organs followed by decapitation, and his favorite:grabbing their heads and blowing it up.

Does this design make sny sense?

Away on the wind~
I think, perhaps, you may be able to describe it better if you use less tropes in your description.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!

He's got nothing on AB!Beowulf.

Your design makes sense to me. It kind of has to, otherwise I'd be a blatant hypocrite.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.

Frankly, considering that you have a real knack for the Refuge in Audacity, I think it makes perfect sense. In context.

You should make sure that everything gels, though; otherwise, it will either make no sense * or simply come off as trying too hard * .

[down] Her retelling of Beowulf, which sounds quite cool, by the way.

[up][up][up] Burr...I don't know how you can describe a character more specifically than that. Unsubtle, no doubt, but to the point? Probably. Then again, you may be right, seeing how my understanding in use of Tropes is oh-so-trustworthy.

[up][up] AB!Beowulf? Who's that?

[up] Uhm...thanks...? If that's supposed to be a compiment...I was actually going for Refuge in Cool, but...oh well. What do you mean by Internal Logic flaw? Just wondering. Oh, and you people read Beowulf?! Dear god, I'm illiterate compared to you people.

Oh one more questions: does feminine traits actually undermines his badassery?

I agree with Cygs. Don't use tropes. It makes the characters appear distant.

[up]No. See: Final Fantasy.

[up][up] According to the other thread he's punching godlike beings straight through like twelve buildings, so no, not really.

A lot of people on TVT seem to be familiar with Beowulf, but I'm the only person here who actually obsesses over the story.

AB!Beowulf is very, very different from the original story. I have not merely taken liberties, I have stolen a whole major overseas shipment of them.

Also, the reason why describing stuff in tropes isn't a good idea is because it doesn't really tell us anything. Characters are not piles of tropes, they just have some traits that also happen to be tropes.

[down] Lady Anne of Beech at your service.

[up][up] and [up], gentlemen (and lady?), you've taught me very valuable lessons in usage of tropes. Thank you.

[up] No, that's The Lancer, not The Hero.

[up] Guess you mean The Hero. I...prefer the word feminine rather than girly. I don't know, it's just that the latter sounds...worse?

You really, really need to make a unpublished works page for your big project. It's sometimes confusing exactly what you are referring to.

And you seem to have a knack for strange things. Like Nathan Gray...
My briefcase. Now.
[up] Eh... (nervous laugh) yeah, I would get to that. Some day.

Is it just me or you have interest in my work? Especially something involving N must have caught your interest?

You post a lot. It seems like your story might be something I would read if I get the chance.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
