Fight Club = biggest case of Misaimed Fandom ever, with the possible exception of Sephiroth from FFVII.

I find the ending oddly adorable. Just the whole "holding hands while shit blows up to The fucking Pixies" gets to me.

Everyone's gay for Edward Norton.

Except the ladies. They're straight for Edward Norton.

Anyone else thought Lou felt a bit... out of place? The whole mobster bit seems narmy to me.

I unfortuanately watched the movie knowing the twist.

If I had watched it without knowing, it would probabaly be my favorite movie ever or something.

I'm still able to appreciate the movie having known the plot twist.

Kinda shows you how skewed a guy can get when he's crazy (or just not sleeping well enough)

Did anyone actually watch the video? Aren't y'all curiouser to where I emerged?

[up] It's still up there with Five Hundred Daysof Summer and Eternal Sunshineofthe Spotless Mind, I do love this movie!!

I do wish the ending was a little more fleshed out, but maybe that's just me.

Interestingly enough, it wasn't until my fourth time watching this movie that I saw it all the way through. Over the course of a few years, I walked in on the movie three times, each time closer to the beginning than before. It was certainly an unusual experience learning about the events essentially backwards, starting with the final scene and working my way back. It wasn't until the fourth and final viewing that I saw the parts of the movie from before Tyler had his first lines.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.

[up][up] & [up][up][up]Me Too!.

I don't understand why they chose Where Is My Mind for the end over, say, Wave of Mutilation. Well, other than the shallow reason that the main character(s?) are crazy. But it certainly works.

Not sure I believe in such a thing as Misaimed Fandom, you're gonna take what you take from any work of art. If people find the movie broadly supportive of their ideals, it might be a shallow interpretation but it's presumptuous to say "you're wrong, none of that is in the movie/book". Clearly, some of it is [perhaps ironically or to a lesser extent than the deeper, more defensible interpretations, but still there], or they wouldn't be able to make the link.
