I find it very hard to take a group who call themselves "The Pokemon Pinchers" seriously Not that they wouldn't make good villains, though.

Yeah, I also agree that it's hard to take a group that call themselves the "Pokémon Pinchers" seriously.

I updated the Recap Page a little, and threw a trope in on the newest Arc which was the best way I could explain it. Also, I'm really loving the backstory I gave Portales, even though I just made it up on the spot.

Voiceover Me: Morning came...

Me: -Yawns, eyes still closed, pushes Susan off me- Morning guys.

???: Morning guys.

Me: Who's there?!

???: Strange, didn't see anyone approach when I was on guard last night...

Me: -Rushes out of the tent and comes face-to-face with a guy wearing a combat vest and a tophat- Who are you and what are you doing here?

???: Sheesh, doesn't Pent know it's just me?

Me: Oakley?

???: Now he gets it.

Susan: Pun Lo'Pun.

Oakley: What the? Why can't I understand the Lopunny?

Me: Because you appear to be human.

Oakley: What the? -Looks at self- Ho-ly Arceus...

Despite the name, the Pinchers were far more effective than any of the previous two, but the problem is finding a leader for them. Two of the admins pulled a Heel–Face Turn, the third was banished by Arceus, and of the four co-leaders, three are jailed and not likely to want to escape, and the other is a broken man who won't be doing any evil things ever again out of fear. And he's in failing health too.

Yeah, this Flashback arc is pretty interesting. Now Artemis has finally been given a motive for wanting to take over the world... Sort of. Also, maybe there should be another story arc between Opelucid and the Flashback arc, you know, with the dream world and all...

But! But Elgyem's history is so BAWWWWWWW Worthy! And adorable! Oh, and DS, if you wand to squeeze in another arc then by all means, go ahead. I'm not forbidding you from editing the thing.

Yeah, Portales backstory is quite cute. I also came up with Artemis' backstory on the spot there, it was kind of interesting to portray her as The Woobie at some of the points during her backstory.

Yes Jane. Yes it is. although I cannon't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen to those two. That's how it is most of the time.

Feel free to prove me wrong though.

Vanillite always struck me as the odd one out. Also, Portales' backstory is rather adorable.

Thank you! Though yes, Luke, you're right. The ending isn't the happiest. But there are two options that I'm considering for the ending:

1 - Portales gets captured by the person that gave him to Jane, he never sees Lampent again.

2 - Lampent dies, Portales can't take it and goes to a Beheeyem expecting comfort, but instead gets all of his memories of her wiped from his brainforevermore.

Don't know which to use.

Voiceover Me: Go with 1, that way you have the option of a tearful reunion later.

Get back to your side of the fourth wall! Anyway, go with 1. We've had enough grimdark for this arc.

I'm trying to figure out if I should come up with some backstories for the remaining Pokémon on my Unova team.

Ribbons obviously doesn't have a backstory since I received her as an egg, which leaves Chase, Goggles and Crush.

I don't have any ideas for Chase, although I guess I could write out the part where he and Artemis first met, before meeting again after meeting me.

If we do end up going to a Ranger region, who here has played the games, and which ones? I've played all 3.

After we've defeated 'M, why don't we have our characters have a victory celebration, since after Sinnoh we just ended up temporarily Breaking the Fellowship?

I've never played the Ranger games, but I know enough through Bulbapedia to know what you're talking about Anom.

I've played all three games.

I'm not really sure what backstory to give Goggles, but I was thinking of maybe a The Greatest Story Never Told kind of story for him.

As for Crush, it might be interesting to write out his backstory since he claims not to remember his previous life. However, writing a backstory for him might be difficult since the setting would take place about 100 millions years ago...
