Also, like Schitzom, my favorite track from Tekken 2 might be Devil's theme. However there is one or two other underrates pieces I love and want to mention. King's theme and Michelle's Theme.
Street Fighter EX has such awesome soundtracks. It's a shame people are so obsessed with Guile's theme from SF 2, since his theme in EX is so freaking amazing.
And then there's Sagat's theme, which is imo one of the best fighting game songs ever.
A while back, X 2 X introduced me to this tune from one of the Guilty Gear games - which I ended up describing as "somewhat along the lines of what they were trying to do with Marvel Vs Capcom 2's soundtrack, but done better." And then Skull Girls came along, and I was even more content.
Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Mv C 2's soundtrack (with a couple exceptions), I love Mv C 3 and especially Mv C 1's soundtracks - (Marvel Vs Capcom 1 has what's probably the best version of Chun Li's theme ever - though Mv C 3 might have one of the worst...).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I liked the soundtracks of pretty much everything that's been said already. Never did play Guilty Gear, so I can't comment on that.
The Street Fighter EX series may be my favourite though. I would love for the composers to have another crack at a Street Fighter game.
Anyway, here's my favourite EX track. It's from EX 2 Plus and is a remix of Garuda's 'Stronger' theme:
Without opening the anime fighter can of worms too much, I'd like to also throw Super DBZ out there for having an awesome OST (also by SuperSweep ).
So many good tracks to pick from, so I just went with my gut. Dat bassline...
Honorary mention to the only track in a DBZ game to briefly feature something resembling rap lyrics.

Oh, yes. Super Dragon Ball Z's soundtrack is brilliant. Every track in that game is gold.
I've wanted that soundtrack for so long, but alas - can find it not.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Trope-related question.
Would this line from the Art of Fighting 2 ending count as Getting Crap Past the Radar ?
I'm not sure what age these games were intended for exactly. Tweens and teens? Maybe it's not so out there but it sure as hell stuck out to me.

Engrish, definitely. SNK was a sucker for western pop culture references and random out of character surfer lingo, but even intentional Getting Crap Past the Radar is pushing it for them.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.The "bad" ending's even better. He calls you a bunch of things, among them schmuck and lawyer.
Crazy Funster... Now where have I heard that one...?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.DUUUUUUDE. Are we talking about music?
I love a lot of songs from MVC 3. But I love it from Darkstalkers even more.
I've been listening to Deserted Chateau on repeat for a while (I also like War Agony and Vanity Paradise a lot).
Another green world.Dive Kick is out today.
Wish I had $10.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughSo I was just looking at the SNK Boss page and unless I'm misremembering horribly, I don't think Motaro was harder than Kintaro. It has been a billion years since I played MK 2 and 3 on my Genesis but I'm pretty sure I played both games on the regular difficulty setting... I even beat MK 3 with the longest tower thing.
But I NEVER beat MK 2. I made it past Kintaro once and Kahn immediately killed me.

I'm a sure a number of you have seen this.
Who all do you think could best handle a Pokemon 3-D fighter?
Namco. Pretty sure that's only a concept, though.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. If we're not too late to discuss music, I'd like to throw my hat in for Killer Instinct 2. Yeah, I mean, the game's not GREAT, but there's some seriously good music in there.
I'd also nominate most of the music from the original Marvel Super Heroes, particularly Captain America's theme. I just felt like they never really got it right with every game after MSH.

"Great Scott! Send in the Doomsday Squad!"I think this is my favorite track from the VS series.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.This video is amazing - over an hour of awesomeness. I gotta listen to all of this and pick my favorite.

I was always partial to Norimaro's theme. It just gives you that feeling that when you start hearing it, somebody's ass is going to get kicked. (Not necessarily Norimaro's)
On that same subject, he's also my favorite character to play as in Mv SF. W Ho can say no to a super called ULTRA VARIETY PRIVATE MEMORIES!
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefSometimes I feel like I'm the only one who likes Ogre's Street Fighter X Tekken theme.
In fact, that song is one of the few things I really liked about the game.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Y'know, it'd be a damn shame if Capcom went under or something before we could finally get another Capcom Vs SNK. We need another Capcom vs SNK (or at least, I do - Cv S 2 is still one of my favorite fighting games after all these years). Especially after Ko FXIII.
WHAT THEY'RE AFTER. IS THE TITLE OF WORLD'S. STRONGEST!
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Come to think of it, didn't the first Capcom vs SNK come out when SNK was about to go under?
If so, then history could repeat.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterAnd the second came out while SNK was effectively dead. Do we want that to repeat? Besides, if Capcom's about to go under and a crossover game ends up released involving SNK, it would probably be an SNK vs Capcom game instead of the third coming of CvS.
Also, something weird is going on involving Street Fighter and the PS 4.
Hell yeah. Say what you will about the games, but Super Sweep did some amazing work with the EX games.
Rising Dragoon for that bombass intro and string section at 1:46. Spinning Bird (and the smooth as hell AST version). Mothafuckin Stronger in all its glory.
And then there's Doctrine Dark's theme, that's as much some weirdo's fighting theme as it is porn music.
