Oh SHIT yes.
This + Halo Reach = all the Halo I'll ever need.
Pics or it didn't happen.
I'll just stick with the PC version.

The new It Just Bugs Me!And yet again, for the X360 only. I feel cheated, and I can't imagine how Mac users feel =)

#IceBearForPresidentAs much as I don't really like the later games (I barely played them and just couldn't get into them), I have a soft spot for multiplayer original Halo, so this is nice.
HOLY. CUNTING. FUCK. YES. THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST YEAR FOR GAMING OF ALL TIME. MY FACE IS ON FIRE.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.@Noelemahc: We are already too resigned to care about this after being dumped by our childhood sweetheart for a one night seven year stand with our rich jerk of a mutual nemesis, watching as Halo was dumbed down from a Genre Buster to a So Okay It's Average Pipe Shooter, and being denied both the Game Mod tools for H1 and the PC port of H2.
Awww. Want a hug?
On a more serious note, however, we all know that the only reason Halo 2 even made it to PC was to promote Vista and Gf WL. Which is still a clunky piece of drek that discriminates against you based on your location (IIRC, we still can't acess the full range of it's supposed features from here in Redland).
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are....
Why remake it, anyway? The original still works perfectly fine on a 360.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Money, Dear Boy. Even so I still want it for the nostalgia value.
#IceBearForPresidentWell, if they're gonna remake it, I hope they actually put the Engineers in this time.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.No matter how well the first installment of a franchise does, later incarnations tend to have the advantage of being newer and having modern sensibilities. Assuming the article is accurate there won't be any changes to the story and possibly even use the exact same audio. It's kind of like the Re-Cut of the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1, it cleans up the Early-Installment Weirdness while fixing continuity errors.
The original Halo Combat Evolved is still a polished game but with each succeeding game it's hard to go backwards and play a game with less features. There are elements that the later games introduce that are completely missing in the first game like Engineers (missing from 2 and 3 as well), vehicle hijacking and certain weapon types. I wouldn't mind driving along the top of the Pillar of Autumn again.
Also: Fix. The. Library.
Seriously, fix the level. This is the one level that nobody would complain about changes too. Add aesthetic doo-dads to make the rooms not all look the same, add more variety to the enemies, I have no idea, SOMETHING!
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Everyone who saw the end of Halo Reach immediately wished for a remake of Halo Combat Evolved. Admit it.
Jonah FalconI hope they make it more difficult. Have any of you played Halo 1 recently? It's a cake-walk nowadays
Eh, not that big of a deal. Why buy something again (albeit cheaper) when you already have it collecting dust somewhere in your closet along with the original X Box?
And people complain how Nintendo makes rehashes/ports.
...mind you I'm still getting it, but the point remains.

One of my friends hasn't purchased a copy of Halo CE, so this might be up his ally.
But as for me, I won't buy a remake of Halo when I still have the original game to play at any time I wish.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.All the graphics of Halo Reach for Halo CE? YEEEEES.
BUT. They better not change anything else >:C
My other signature is a Gundam.I didn't mind the Library. It's exactly what it's SUPPOSED to be - a gauntlet.
Jonah FalconI cleaned out the YMMV on the Halo page today, I hate you all for the rest of the week.
Fight smart, not fair.If they're really gonna remake this, I hope they at least make the Flood levels less mind-numbingly dull.
I draw this comic-like thing sometimes.
IT'S BACK!
