The game looks awesome. I'm just waiting for more info myself.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire/shameless one embed limit exploitation
It looks like it's shaping up to be God Of War IN ASIA. Not That There's Anything Wrong with That.
...Let us in...I do think a battle with a giant space Buddha could be really awesome...
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireHoly crap, it IS the Naruto guitar riff.
I liked Ultimate Ninja Storm 2...
In any case, this looks really over-the-top awesome. Looks like I'm getting it after the price drop or something. I'm greedy.
Stargate SG-1 Let's Watch. Because my ZHP thing failed.I think my brain exploded from the awesome.
I don't have too much to say.New content. More galactic deity finger assault!
Also actual spoken words.
I kinda wish there was more information about the game's mechanics or setting or something. No real new news so far...
...Let us in......is that...a space Buddha? SPACE BUDDHA!!!
You're going down space Buddha. DOWN I SAY.
This whole thing is just more evidence towards my being the worst Buddhist ever though...
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahThe more I see of this, the more it looks like God Of War.
I like that. A lot.
Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.Moral: if you meet the Space Buddha, break your 6 arms while trying to kill his finger.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987^^It's like God Of War but without those wimpy "weapons".
I'd take six arms over three identical chain weapon any day of the year too tho.

Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comTurns out that Asura's goal is to get vengeance on the other gods both for kicking him out of their group and using his daughter to enhance their own powers.
So yeah, pretty much God Of War in Asia.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987This shit is Epicness on a stick. It needs a page. Now. Well, might as well make one.

Watch SymphogearBump, for Ass kicking justice! So, who else is looking forward to this game?

Watch SymphogearBeating the crap out of giant terracotta warriors with a six-armed spirit of war and violence?
Fuck yeah I'm looking forward to this!
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!And that boss in the trailer, the one as big as earth, is apparently one of the earliest bosses in the game.
Watch SymphogearNo new content, but this interview caught my eye.
Now I didn't play God Hand and this is all coming from a few LP's I watched.
It's a Crazy Awesome Beat 'em Up with Good Old Fisticuffs. That's where the similarities end though. That's certainly enough to be a buy for me, and maybe that's enough to be deemed a Spiritual Successor to God Hand (it's enough to make another funny 4koma at least), but my standards for spiritual succession are a bit higher.
This game is on a much larger scale at a much earlier level, with the number of enemies looking a lot like fighting small armies, rather than gangs in God Hand. It looks like the game will have a much faster pace in combat as well. This game seems to be playing things more seriously than God Hand, and I think most of the comedy will come from the sheer ridiculousness of the enemies' power more than anything else. God Hand was very self-aware and played the majority of itself for laughs (to great effect) and I don't see that happening here. I just don't see Asura spanking or groin kicking anyone in this game.
Slightly on a tangent, but I hope this game is Nintendo Hard. I really do. Fighting deities and armies should be hard, and I want the game to reflect that. It's just that Cyberconnect2 have made a grand total of...one hard game, and that was eons ago. I hope they turn the difficulty up for this one, which may be feasible with Capcom involved as well.
To end on a high note however:
This makes me feel hopeful. If they just keep the action crazy and over-the-top, I will be pleased.
EDIT: Curse you quoteblock markup. Curse you.

...Let us in...... Wait, you don't consider the .hack series to be hard?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987As I said the first time I saw the trailer:
A God Of War ripoff that will rape Hindu myth like Kratos did Greek? Pass.
This is still a signature.Wow, Tainted by the Preview much, Aneheyla? How pathetic. Sorry to be mean, but thats a stupid reason to pass a game.
It sounds like just like every other excuse I've heard on why people are passing the game. Its the same one I've seen on countless sites that have comments sections.
Note, the setting is stated as a mixture of Classic mythology and scifi. Very different from God Of War, which was based purely on mythology.
Another Difference is that Asura Dosen't use weapons. Just his fists and the Environment around him.
Heres a short gameplay footage:
Does this really look like God Of War Style gameplay at all?

Watch SymphogearNope. Seriously though, in G.U. the only notable fights were with Ovan and the Azure Knights and even in the original series there was nothing they could throw at me that a bit of grinding couldn't fix (Skeith is overrated). The difficulty felt a bit fake. I believe the problem was with how significantly you were affected by levels, the fact that doing all the sidequests would boost your levels incredibly, and the huge boosts that you get from importing old saves, but that's another story. I like the series, and the unique battles are quite fun. Just not that challenging with the right preparation i.e. as long as you weren't speed-running.
I don't know much about the mythological setting they're inspired by so I can't really comment on any misrepresentation that they throw at me (except I'm pretty sure giant space Buddha poke was a result of artistic license). As long as they don't have Asura kick every possible dog he can and keep the battles interesting, I'm cool. I would've enjoyed Go W a lot more if I didn't wish I wasn't playing Kratos and was completely unfamiliar with Greek Mythology.
EDIT: I post at the speed of snails.

...Let us in...You raised a slightly off-topic but interesting point...I think one of the reasons why I don't like Go W is because of how big a douchebag Kratos actually is...even worse, he's a douchebag who's trying so desperately to be cool...or atleast the developers are trying to make him cool. This is one of the rare games where a protagonist can be so unlikable that it actually distracts you from having fun with the game.
...or maybe it just felt like playing the exact same game after the first, who knows.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."
So...Cyber Connect 2, who made the Dot Hack franchise, after making the cute kemono-mecha sequel to Tail Concerto, Solatorobo, decided "Hey, why don't we develop a video game and have Capcom publish it."
Then this happened:
My only real gripe about the game is how Chikayo Fukuda seems to really, really like that guitar riff. It was cool in the Dot Hack GU Games and it was not bad in the Naruto games, but I was hoping for a bit more variety. It's still good music, but...eh.
Also Unreal Engine 3.
EDIT: Oh hey, one embed per post, learn something new everyday.
