This is generally how I get through Halo games. Run through campaign on normal for a day off.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.

Poke Park Wii comes to mind, though it took longer to 100% it. Awesomely doofy fun, regardless.

The last one was Deus Ex: Invisible War, I think.

If counting replays a lot otherwise somewhat less but still more than enough to remember.

Metal Gear Solid 4 in 17 hours, back when it first came out.

I lost track of the time...

I'd say games that are meant to be beat in one go (Bad Dudes Vs Dragon Ninja and Aladdin which don't even have a Password Save, and arguably Portal) shouldn't really count.

But outside of this type of games, the fastest I've ever beat one was The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past, and my record is two days, not one.

I'm not sure if I have (or if I have, I certainly can't remember it), but I know for a fact I could beat MGS 4 on the hardest difficulty in a few hours if I wanted to. Skipping all cutscenes, of course.

Don't think I remember doing anything like that.

I recall beating a JRPG within a single sitting. Can't recall which one it was now, though.

I just recall thinking, "Wow. I haven't slept at all, but I really need to see how this ends."

I'd be surprised if I haven't done Ocarina of Time in a day.

Yes, did that long ago with Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island on Megadrive, in half a day.

I just did this with Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, actually. My fingers ached from trying to do all the acrobatics on my keyboard.

Back in the day when I still had it, I could beat Megaman X4 in one sitting in like an hour or two.

Slightly crazier: Tales of Vesperia, for the speed-run achievement that requires you to beat the game in under 15 hours.

I played Final Fantasy IV (then known as II) straight through without sleeping or eating when I first got it. You can do that stuff when you're a teenager, I guess. :P

The Medal of Honor reboot and Halo 3. I would've beaten Halo ODST in a single day as well but I got caught up in doing the sidequests about the city monitor and getting some of the achievements, so it ended up taking me three days on that one.

If it makes you feel any better, that was probably a TAS. The fastest verified speedrun of Turok is a little over an hour.

On topic. Most recently, I've done this with Portal and Batman Arkham Asylum. Portal was a second run, though.

I did it with the Genesis Sonic titles and Sonic Colors a couple weeks ago. It helps that they're all pick-up-and-play games.

Metal Gear Solid 4 in 17 hours, back when it first came out.

Did you skip all the cutscenes or something? I mean, I did MGS 3 and it took me a whole freaking day. But MGS 4 is at least three times longer than 3.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

The Smurfs on the SNES had a Password Save, but the last Act turned out to be so frustratingly difficult that starting there was a guaranteed Game Over. So the best strategy was to play it entirely in one go, collecting 1-Ups along the way to spend them all in the last Act.

Initially beat the key stuff in one day on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though all of the Zelda games took me more than one day.

Mario Kart: Double Dash took me a single day to beat all the Circuits.

I did beat Quest 64 in one sitting, technically. I had to leave the n64 on for 3 days, but I had school and such, and no memory card. So it would've probably taken me a single day at most. On the other hand, it was my first time playing through, so I took my time on it.
