Um, I can only remember beating Mega Man 10 in a single setting right on the release date.
I still never saw the ungodly tall Wily Tower coming.
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.Yes, mainly FPSs.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Let's see...
Mirrors Edge, I think Portal... probably others, can't think of em.
"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanDepends on the game.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl? Yes. Metal Slug Anthology? Yes. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World? YES. Castle Crashers? HELL YES.
But Tales Of Symphonia, Persona 4, Borderlands? Oh god no.

One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderAll the time. Depends on the type of game. Short ones like Mega Man are designed for you to do this.
Ocarina Of Time.
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.I've beaten Portal in roughly one day, and VVVVVV in one night, even the trinkets.
Yes. Mainly shorter games like Dragon Quest 1 during longer car rides.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI just did this today with Sam and Max Hit the Road (granted I was using a guide)
And most Shooters I have also done this with.
Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Land. Depending on how you count Warp Zones, also Super Mario Bros 2, 3, and World.
Mega Man 2. Mega Man 3. Mega Man X. Didn't play MM 1 or 4-8 until the Anniversary Collection, which had a save feature.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic & Knuckles.
Street Fighter II (not any of the fancy versions, just the plain SNES release; not as Dhalsim).

I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindPokemon Silver, on a 1300% speed emulator
Likes many underrated webcomicsPanzer Dragoon Orta. I was surprised that I did it to.
#IceBearForPresidentMegaman 2-7. All of them in one day. I only needed to use the save feature in the collection for 1 due to it being the hardest (for me). As well as, Megaman X 1-3, though on different days.
Super Mario RPG, the original Legend Of Zelda, the Contra series (except for Contra Hard Corps), Gunstar Heroes, the second Rocket Knight Adventures game, and Cave Story (the normal ending; it took me a several days before I managed to earn the true ending).

My brother and I finished Super Mario Bros 3 in one night. No warps. Good times.
My cousin and I almost beat Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks in a single day. We made it to Shao Kahn before losing one too many times.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Darn, it normally takes me about a week, but then again I like to do sidequests.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I usually take my sweet time when playing games, but I have beat the first three Sonic games within a few hours.
360 Gamertag: Electivirus. 3DS friend code: 5412-9983-8497. PSN ID: Electivirus. PM me if you add me on any.A few arcade fighting games? Do those count?
Help?.. please...If we include indie stuff, I do this all the time. If we don't, then I don't think I ever have, mainly because I rarely buy short games
Wait, do you just mean first run? Because if not then it's too many to count.
Help?.. please...Pokémon Snap was the first game I beat the day I got it.
I've been all kinds of games in a single sitting, though. I do it with Super Mario Kart (and Super Mario Kart:Pro Edition) and Pilotwings kinda regularly these days. It's like a mental warmup.
It Just Bugs MeYeah, Deus Ex and Metal Gear Solid 2.
Zone Of The Enders and the second one.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Probably quite a few, but Chameleon Twist (N64) and Felix the Cat (NES) jump to mind, both great rentals. Agreed that only first plays count, since I'm sure all of us speedran old favorites.
The only game I've ever done this with was Heavy Rain. I played the whole thing on launch day in one 13 hour sitting, which was... probably at the top of the list for geekiest things I've ever done. >.>
