I wholly approve of this, because it would give Film.Death Note its own page and I could just go there and pretend that's the only ending.
But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.Should I start on the pilot first?
I created a page for the pilot, although it needs a little more work, but at least I have a half-decent description and a few tropes.
This seems like a pretty good idea to provide trope pages for other works of the Death Note series since the movies and the L change the world novel are kinda entirely different from Death Note itself and the main Death Note page does need a little cleaning up. I've already provided a summary for the "L Change The World Novel" trope page.

I'll add some tropes for the L Change the WorLd page.
Do you think this could be a Speical Efforts thread?
I'm not sure, but I can certainly sort out Another Note, although I'm not too familiar with the films.
Also, I'm pretty sure the US film would need its own page even if we didn't split all the other stuff off, since it'll probably deviate quite a lot.

Knowing Anime fans this will need a split and the Movie will have to be Locked the day it comes out because of the amount of hate it will get. (even if its good)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well, we're giving all the adaptations a split apart from the manga/anime, and the US movie will probably be sufficiently different to warrant that, too.
As for a possible page lock, I shouldn't think it'd be that bad, but we'll wait and see, yes?
By the way, I've made a page for Another Note, which is in need of some wiki magic, and I'll probably add some more things myself, tomorrow.

I wish I could work more on this, but I am only familar with the pilot, the light novel L Change the World, and the manga itself.
Should we also make Recap pages for the main work? I could try to find the first five volumes around my house.
Anyone can make a recap for any work they want. If you're up for it, go right ahead. It's Wiki Magic at work!
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Necro! BOOM!
What happened to the "Moments" links at the top of the Death Note page? Y'know, Nightmare Fuels, Tear Jerkers, Crowning Moments?
Somebody screwed up the page type. It was set to "a trope" instead of "a work".
Fight smart, not fair.Is this project done, or just stalled?
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Film.Death Note is the only one left. The rest of the sub-work pages are in good shape.
So, does anyone want to take it up?

Pity that BlackWolfe has disappeared.
I dropped a note in the thread discussion the film. Maybe we'll get someone there to work on it.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Death Note has been moved to the Anime namespace. Shouldn't it be in Manga, since the Anime is an adaptation of the original Manga?
Yes, it should be there.
It probably shouldn't be split between Anime/ and Manga/ though.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. There are certainly enough cases where the anime and the manga are close enough for folk music. And it still doesn't do much to help Full Metal Alchemist, which I think is the main source of confusion if confusion there be.
Hail Martin Septim! This thread has gone on for nearly a year. At this point, I think we should lock this even if nobody creates a Film page.
@ Laukku and Meta Four: I fixed it. Manga.Death Note is now the main entry. And I agree that yes, there should be a Film.Death Note page.

"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"And I moved it there. Anyone going to volunteer to make a page for the films?
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."
I know this is the Trope Repair Shop, but since a Works Repair Shop doesn't exist, I'm posting this thread here.
I noticed that none of Death Note's adaptations and sub-works have a page by its own. For example, there are the Japanese live-action movies, the manga pilot, both the film verison and novel adaptation of L Change The Wor Ld, and Death Note: Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Case. And then there's the American live-action adapation that may be out of Development Hell that may need its own page...
Here are some links that should be bluelinked:
Death Note (Film)
Death Note Pilot
L: change the WorLd (Film)
L: change the WorLd (Literature)
Another Note
Since both the manga and the anime have few differences between each other, it would be redundant to create an anime page for it. However, I don't know if L Change The Wor Ld should be one or two pages, since I am only familar with the novel (which I own and will conduct trope analyis on).
