It maybe Edutainment, but it is also a spy thriller. We lack spy thriller cartoons these days.

Just asking how would you write the premise of this new show?

Personally, I would retain Carmen's Chaotic Neutral daredevil motives while trying flesh out her backstory.

As for the protagonists, mildly seasoned adult ACME agents in a Five-Man Band package. Each of them has above average knowledge on a certain field like history, biology, technology, linguistics or legal systems.

Still, the best part of this show is of course going to different places across the world and learning them.

...grumblegrumble... getting my hopes up...

All I have to say is, bring the fun kid's game shows back!

Though you just can't replace Lynne Thigpen.

Aww man I'm sorry.

I wish I could title change the thread.

I wonder what it'll be called? I just hope the show stays true to Carmen's character and keeps her neutral (i.e. she may be a criminal, but she has standards and only really steals to keep ACME Crime Net on its toes [which is understandable, since she formerly was the company's best agent gone rouge]).

Would there be story arcs where some evil organization worse than VILE threatens the world, and there may be times when the two sides have to cooperate?

Carmen Sandiego in Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego is a Card Carrying Villain as is her followers!

She would ruin the enviroment through stealing the Ozone Layer and/or the Moon and show no remorse....

We should show the potential holocausts that result from her thefts.

Her personality varies from show to show and game to game so why not have a show where it's Carmen is willing to commit violence and murder(her thefts in Time and World caused mass death you should know)unlike Where on Earth's version?

I even got the idea of Carmen and VILE partaking in Agatha Christie's cases.... Agatha Christie's main complaint about early stage adaptations of her plays was that they stuck too closely to the books, as she felt that a murder mystery should surprise people.

She also removed Poirot from many of her plays' stories so one could replace Poirot with the police while having Carmen visibly possing as a detective to frame the original story's villain in order to cover up her minion(the storys would always start with Carmen calling her henchman or henchwoman and giving orders and explaining who she's framing with the crime and when).

If I did a Play or TV version of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd I would make Sir Vile the murderer(yes I'm honestly suggesting having the Black Knight do it since no one would notice the suit of armor standing in the room).

Medeva and Jacqueline Hyde would be the villains of Death on the Nile and would be the Mrs. Otterbourne(Medeva) and Rosalie Otterbourne(Jacqueline Hyde) which due to Medeva being a witch can allow her to fake her death before the climax.

The Big Four case would feature Dr. Ima LeZaard as Number Four(fullfilling the role of the original book's Number Three), Bugs Zapper as Number Three(fullfilling the role of the original book's Number Two), Sir Vile as Number Two(fullfilling the role of the orignal book's Vera Rossakoff) and Carmen Sandiego herself as Number One(fullfilling the role of both Number Four and Number One from the original book).

Carmen Sandiego is a master of disguise as seen in Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego so her pulling off the Number Four role as well as the Number One role would be easy for her.

And for Death Comes as the End I would have the episode start with Carmen grabbing the ACME Chronoskimmer and taking her henchmen(only seen as Sinister Silhouettes so that you don't know who the murderer is right from the begining) back in time to the past to steal histories greatest treasures.

After that the episode would cut to ancient Egypt where the story would traditionally unfold with slight changes(namely Satipy saying "Evil witch" instead of "Nofret" upon her death and the ghost mentioned by the servant boy having a red headress instead of a wig) until the final act where Carmen shows up infront of the protagonist with a gun intending on killing her just like she killed Nofret for her Lion Necklace which Carmen was given the present day version of(the henchmen in Sinister Silhouettes seen at the beginning would just be a Red Herring keeping the audience from assuming that Carmen herself commited the crime instead of her henchmen).

Her motive for attempting to kill the Protagonist's oldest brother and is because she suspects that he spotted her trying off Satipy(he didn't).

the Servant Boy is killed so that he can't be questioned more thoroughly thus revealing that it wasn't one of Nofret's dresses the ghost was wearing(that it was infact a trenchcoat).

Ipy is killed to uphold the story of Nofret's ghost coming back for revenge that's currently in everyone's mind.

Esa gets killed so that Hori assumes that Esa is right and arranges the execution of the Protagonist's oldest brother Yahmose(the murderer in the original book) after Carmen's first attempt to silence him fails(naturally Carmen bugged the entire house so when she learns that Esa is setting up a test she would hear it and take enough advantage of the story to get Hori chasing after Yahmose).

Henet get's offed for delaying Carmen's stealing of the past version of her Ancient Egyptian Lion Necklace from Nofret by giving it to the Protagonist.
