Withdraw the Zahn Trilogy from canon immediately, hire Joss Whedon to write and direct a CG-animated, serious episode VII, VIII, IX trilogy - using the voices of the original actors.

Make a Firefly/Star Wars crossover CG-movie too (also written by Whedon), if it gets popular, use the popularity to fuel Firefly Seasons 2-10.

Make a live action Star Wars Tv-series, that takes place between Ro TS and ANH. Have at least 7 seasons, reagrdless of ratings and/or financial success.

Make a live action new trilogy which takes place in the era of KOTOR, lifting some characters from the game (Bastila, Malak, Revan, etc.) Regardless of it getting successful or not, follow it with a second trilogy and a third one and wrapping it up with an EPIC ninth movie.

That's what I would do.

I'm not much of a writer, so I'm not gonna say much about anything I'd do to the movies, though from what I've gathered, the EU needs some pruning.

More importantly, I'd stop calling plasma cannons "lasers". That always really bugged me. Also, more diverse lightsaber type weapons.

Well first of all I'd bring Joss Whedon and Steven Spielberg on as consultants.

Before the Prequel Trilogy:

I'd make a T.V. series of mostly standalone episodes depicting various interesting and/or important events from before the movies, like Yoda meeting his master, Knights of the Old Republic stuff, Exar Kun, Darth Bane, the origin of the Sith, the yellow bladed lightaber, etc.

Maybe a T.V. series about Obi-Wan and Qui Gon's story.

Prequel Trilogy:

I'd make it less childish, more on par with the Original Trilogy, Jar-Jar would be more clumsy and easily mislead then wacky or goofy. I kinda like the idea of giving the Gungans some Old Ones overtones.

I'd do the romance between Padmé and Anakin more well written and interesting.

I'd make it longer, maybe two trilogies worth so I can fit in the stuff from The Clone Wars series.

Original Trilogy and onward:

I'd leave the Original Trilogy pretty much the way it is, changing it to fit in with the tone of the rest of what I have planed and some other characterization changes.

During the first movie, Leia would be a Spirited Young Lady/Rebellious Princess with overtones of Silk Hiding Steel, to a Gentleman and a Scholar/Lady of War in Empire, to a Badass Princess Action Girl in ROTJ.

Han would be more of a badass and morally ambiguous(think Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Jerk with a Heart of Gold while still maintaining his Loveable Rogue quality. With more emphasis put on his questionable connections and piloting skills, as well as some fun moments of him and Chewbacca being badass together.

Chewbacca would be pretty much the same, but he'd reveal a noble heritage that he'd use to call in Wookie reinforcements to help fight in the Battle of Endor, having been some kind of Wookie leader before being captured by the Emperor, and finally escaping and meeting Han Solo, then from there deciding to do a "Walk the Earth" type of thing and leaving his old life behind.

Storm Troopers would be badass mercenaries.

Everyone else would be pretty much the same, with more time spent on Yoda's training of Luke, with more moments of Yoda's solemn wisdom, like in the Prequel Trilogy.

I also like USAF 713's idea of giving force users a slightly watered down version of The Force Unleashed's awesomeness, and the lightsaber duels would be longer and more stylized.

The Ewoks would also get some badass moments.

I've only read a a few things from the EU, and all of those have been set before the Original Trilogy so after doing so I might change some of my ideas, but I'd mostly write down my favorite things from it and try to work them in.

I'd probably go with another trilogy that would have them dealing with the aftermath of the fall of the Empire, Kir Kanos would work behind the scenes before finally fighting Luke to the death, They'd have to deal with the remaining Sith coming out of hiding and causing an EvilPowerVacuum, which would be intercut with the Thrawn Trilogy which would then lead into a Dark Empire trilogy, not sure where I'd take it from there.

General Stuff:

More sex, though staying PG-13 Gay and Bi characters BDSM overtones, sometimes overt More humor and general badassness

Make the Star Wars universe and all Star Wars product public domain. From that point onwards, everyone can write fiction, make movies/videogames, and sell gadgets about the Star Wars universe with no need for licensing.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

I'd scrap The Force. I'm sick of the jedi and the sith and their God-like powers. I really can't accept that some pajama-clad swordsmen can overwhelm the greatest technological wonders of the Star Wars universe through the application of this mystical energy. I don't like that. I want Star Wars to be a science-fiction series, not kung fu in space.

There'd be an equivalent of the jedi and the sith, but they'd be very different. Their superior combat abilities would come from cybernetic implants and intensive training, and they'd use guns, body armor and every other equipment necessary for the missions they are assigned to. They'd still have a lightsaber-like weapon, but it would be meant for CQC situations.

I'd depose lucas and replace him with Timothy Zahn, who appears to be so adept at Arc Welding that he might as well be the creator anyways.

I'd just iron out the discontinuity parts and not kill chewy with a moon. Oh, and make the parts from star wars the clone wars make more sense(like the magically disapearing gungan army from the mon-calamari episode)

Get rid of that fuckin honor > pragmatism mentality that the Mandalorians have; then they'd be an awesome mercenary force.

The Republic Commando series did a good job of reinstilling pragmatism I think you'll find Kino. Honor is still important, but they're not going to just throw their lives away for a minor thing

No, I loved the Republic Commando game(and half of one novel I read), they just need to temper the whole blood/honor before reason thing.

Honor and loyalty are important, but they shouldn't stop you from thinking clearly.

Or starting fights with the galaxy.

Or allying with a bunch of Force-users who want to use you.

I think the androids should be smarter. I also agree with making the Jedi and Sith less cardboard cutout. I would also likely make a group that tries to master both sides of the force.

The Republic should be restructured or there needs to be mentioning of planets having insurrections due to world governments.

Go into more detail on the motivations of both sides. I would also make General Grievous more badass.

Test ideas on the audience with a series dealing with a what if.

It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble.

[up] Some have tried to be "gray jedi"

bascially, either they fail and go full darkside, or are lightsiders that annoyed the Jedi somewhere along the line.

Basically anything out of KOTOR is gold.

I would probably make the CIS still focus on cheap, disposable units, but I would make the droids more competent. Less Plucky Comic Relief and more People's Republic of China human wave tactics.

I would also fix the numbers for the clones made, and make them less totally idiotic with their shit. It would really look like a war between the US, EU, and Russia versus China and India combined, in terms of numbers. Actual tactics would be nice, as well.

Space battles are... alright. I would leverage the better tech so that all the battles look like the opening of Episode III, and make it so that the fighting doesn't get shown for about 30 seconds and then we cut back to more talking.

Jedi will be badass. Perhaps not totally gray, but certainly not rigid. Sith will have motivations like Revan, and not be cardboard cutout interchangeable supervillains.

Stormtroopers will actually kick ass. Rebels will be pathetic. Rebel Commandos will kick everyone's asses. Darth Vader will eat all of them alive and still be ready for more.

Oh, and, General Grevious. He needs to be awesome. In fact, he needs to be ridiculous. Because if there was ever a Missed Moment of Awesome, that fail of a fight was it...

I am now known as Flyboy.

Stormtroopers would be a bit less canon fodder, rebels would slowly develope from fodderish to storm trooper equivalents. Except for certaint ones, and verterans and defectors.

The six films, Clone Wars saga, KOTOR, and all EU stuff pertaining to Kyle Katarn remains canon. The rest of it will get varying degrees of reworking by my writer friends. Quentin Tarantino will write, direct, and produce at least one new film.

Somehow you know that the time is right.
