Mine looks so cluttered compared to everyone else's >_>
Requiem ~ September 2010 - October 2011 [Banned 4 Life]My shitty desktop. I don't use icons that much because I prefer launching things from explorer◊.
The image should be familiar to IJBM regulars.
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-WraithLink◊
My current desktop. I kind of want a new picture though. This one's creeping me out.
Also, notepad and explorer are not pinned to the taskbar, they just happened to be open.
Actually having stuff on the desktop is pointless and ugly, so I don't.

^ What do you do with the Recycle Bin?
Heapers’ HangoutUm... I can't remember. It might have required changing a registry setting or something.
Either way, I have it as one of my "Favorites" in Explorer, so I can still get to it easily enough. And, actually, it's apparently still on my Desktop, it's just invisible and I can't click on it.
I'm using an 8-Bit Mega Man head, blown up to 500x magnification, on a black background. It looks surprisingly elegant. iPod's background is the same, and its lock screen is Wily's head.
^^ I see. Right now the Recycle Bin is the only icon on my desktop, because I realized I never launched anything from desktop icons and they were basically just cluttering up my beautiful picture of Downtown Cincinnati (I alternate between that and the pink stripes).
Also, for a while I'd renamed the Recycle Bin to "The Trash Heap".

Heapers’ HangoutI was positive that I would enter this thread and find Pony desktops.
I am disappoint.
Then again, nobody would want to advertise that they watch the show...
Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! ~ GODI considered making a pony desktop for when I have my computer in Overly Pink mode, but I am too lazy.
Heapers’ Hangout^^^ Not only do I never launch anything from desktop icons, I never even look at my desktop except right when I turn on my computer. At all other times I have a Firefox window maximized on top of it, so... I can't see anything. Which makes adding things to my desktop pretty pointless, which I realized shortly after installing Rainmeter and realizing I'd never see any of the things I add using it...
^^ I don't see why someone wouldn't have a desktop of a show they like... My log in screen background is Kodomo No Jikan related, and my desktop wallpaper used to be. And so is my account picture thing. And my computer's name. And as of now, my desktop wallpaper again.

As aforelinked, I have a desktop of a video game that hasn't been released. I don't know that it can get much more obsessed-fannish than that. :P
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableYup, sure am.
Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! ~ GODTada◊. Tis not all that exciting, but I'm on a Top Gear binge and I couldn't find any decent shots of the boys with a shiny car that weren't crappily thrown together and slapped up on Deviant Art or hosted on defunct websites.
Ooh, audio pipe dealie.
