Dearest compatriots! I have just finished building my patented Sky Elevator, which will allow us to descend without using dangerous methods such as gliders or (heavens forbid) jumping off.

And it only has a travel time of...*punches numbers into a calculator*...twelve hours!

Not me, for two reasons: 1, I'm a little tied up at the moment, and 2, I don't like moving straight down at high speed. At least, not speeds that high.

Besides, I'm not insane. The elevator automatically slows down about 500 feet from the ground, killing the downward thrust and gently introducing counter-force in the form of less powerful upward-rockets.

It's totally safe. Just very scary.

Meh, I have the power to summon anything from Hammerspace if it happens to be funny. I'd take jumping off over that, because you said yourself it's very scary.

Thing is, right now apparently non-matching socks, bricks, and random animals are WAY more funny than comic books. At least God the Flying Spaghetti Monster thinks so.
