Yeah, I was really bad with length back then, mainly because I made sections of my songs longer than they needed to be.
Eh, well, half my songs end up around the 5 minute mark anyway, and considering I usually aim for pop-influenced rock (or maybe the other way around), that's kinda long for what I'm trying to do generally.
Also I think I will leave Ke$ha out. After thinking it over, that's probably not something I should try until I have a lot more experience.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. But my stuff back then ended up being close to 10 minutes.
Unrelated: here's something I did with someone I met online.
not bad, ha colors- japanese boy band

COLORS might be one of my favorite anime opening songs ever, I almost sang along
Also, something new! I think I wanted to do this kind of song for a long time, but never had the initiative until now...
Sounds like it could be from a video game. Drums are a little too wild though.
This is something I did for a collaboration mixtape. We were told to only use samples from the anime Nabari No Ou. I kinda cheated though because one the of vocal samples is from Magical Pokaan.

Hey, this is my stuff, would be great to get some feedback on the lyrics and stuff :)
My stuff is basically UK Hip Hop, but I'm trying to go for crossover appeal with funk/soul/rock elements
Pretty good. Do you produce your own stuff?
This right here is a song I wrote about the chase sequences in the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? cartoon. In the style of a song you're likely to hear in one of those chase sequences.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Not bad. Guitar solo needs work.
Just put this one up. It's a remix of Daft Punk's "Fresh". Epic Rocking is back for revenge.
@your track: I like it, very relaxing. Though I can't exactly say anything about how it was remix, seeing as how I've only listened to the original once before and thus don't really have a point of comparison
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Some of the notes and rhythm are off.
Also, here's the original track for reference.
Well I always just improvise my solos and just keep what sounds good to me. Believe me, if I tried to plan out a solo I know that I would not remember it.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Makes sense.
I feel like lately you're the only one who's ever in this thread, or at least the only one who replies to people. What happened to everyone else who used to frequent this thread?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. No idea.
@physical stamina, yeah, I don't know that much about production so I use Garageband. Mostly an arrangement/lyrics guy tbh
Here's Take 3 on My Little Castagnette. I used the metronome option to ensure I was keeping in time. How's my enunciation? http://karaokescene.com/ss/song.php?id=91588

I might have to come back to that later. Holy hell, even my longest (non-medley) recording doesn't even go past 6:30, and it's only that long to begin with because I was pretentious enough to put in two Fake Out Fade Outs for some reason.
