Season 2 is best. Hands down.
PRE-MOVIE: "Sailor Mouth" "Wet Painters" "Squilliam Returns" "Band Geeks" "Hooky" "The Algae's Always Greener" POST-MOVIE: "Shell of a Man" "Grandpappy The Pirate" (Technically "Plankton's Regular" since money isn't Mr. Krabs's driving force, and there's no obsession with money otherwise.) (I suppose "One Coarse Meal" is the same way)
"Life is a game, you just have to learn the rules."Since it's getting somewhat long, please bold new entries.
PRE-MOVIE "NO MONEY" EPISODES: "Sailor Mouth," "Wet Painters," "Squilliam Returns," "Band Geeks," "Hooky," "The Algae's Always Greener," "Pranks a Lot (though there is a borderline example when the 'ghosts' attempting to burn his dollar is when he decides to throw the water, but I think we can forgive that)"
POST-MOVIE: "Shell of a Man," "Grandpappy The Pirate," "Plankton's Regular (not sure if this quite belongs here since this whole episode is about Mr. Krabs' obsession with getting all of the customers and therefore all of the money, unless he just really hates Plankton that much)," "One Coarse Meal," "A New Leaf (though, correct me if I'm wrong; I don't remember much about this episode, same with the following additions:)," "Best Frenemies," Truth or Square"
GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.Ever notice that the episodes where Mr. Krabs is portrayed as irredeemably evil (i.e. Plankton's Regular, Patty Caper, The Krabby Kronicle, One Coarse Meal, The Cent Of Money) were written by both Casey Alexander and Zeus Cervas?
Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right. There are actually five movies (The theatrical one, Atlantis, Truth or Square, Square Roots, Legends of Bikini Bottom)
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DWhenever someone mentions The Movie for Spongebob Squarepants, they are mostly referring to the theatrical one. All other "movies" are really one-hour specials, and not truly movies. "Square Roots" is a documentary, not an actual movie from the show. "Legends Of Bikini Bottom" is a marathon consisting of newer episodes, and once again, not a movie.

Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right.None of those are movies; they're overhyped half-hour episodes. Except for "Square Roots," which is still not feature length. It's a documentary.
GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.SpongeBob is not anime, and they never called any of those "movies," either. If "Atlantis Squarepantis" is a movie; every episode of every show that does not use the Two Shorts or Three Shorts format is a movie.
GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.Yes, but they're not theatrical like the first movie. They are episodes expanded well enough to give room for more airtime due to the length of the plots. "Square Roots" is a film, but it's a documentary. "Legends Of Bikini Bottom" is a marathon consisting of six new episodes. How could you think "Legends Of Bikini Bottom" is a movie?

Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right. The poor quality of the new ones is an attempt to convince nick to cancel the series, i think. Hold It!

I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DThey won't cancel it. Somehow it still attracts huge audiences.
GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.Yeah. I wonder how in the hell could they stop it from happending?
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death itself may die."Make an episode that's actually good? Or maybe target it to an adult/teen audience and not a kid. Nick will fucking rape and try to kill any shows not sent to the 7-11 demographic.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyRape and kill? Well thats not exactly a good example...
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death itself may die."I now believe the episodes that suck after the movie are any episodes made by Casey Alexander and Zeus Cervas, especially the way they portray Mr. Krabs. That, and a few other episodes such as "Penny Foolish" and "Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful".
Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right.Nickelodeon actually doesn't rape and kill shows for older audiences; it does one or the other. And that only applies to animation. They'll try to market live-action juvenile shows for older audiences, and either push for cartoons to be overly childish or cancel them. Periphery Demographic shows like SpongeBob and Invader Zim are good examples. The former raped; the latter killed.

GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment. It does do both: Danny Phantom.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DTrue, but DP's drop in quality was tame compared to other shows like Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents
"Life is a game, you just have to learn the rules."I don't know how long Spongebob is going to last before it gets killed. If that's a possibility.
Some folks on the Internet think they're a special GIFT to the world, and others aren't. In this perspective, they're kind of right.I dont know why, but i guess it could be Season 10? Or maybe 11. But no more.
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death itself may die."Depends on if Nick will ever let go.
Also I admit my thing is too far. I was thinking of how Avatar the Last Airbender was treated by Nick and of course the movie.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyAlthough it is amazing how much they got away with as far as ATLA goes.
"Life is a game, you just have to learn the rules."Which is part of the reason adults liked it and Nick seemed to hate it. Seriously if kids didn't love it just as much as we do the show never would have ended. CANCELLATION!
To Be Updated when I'm not Lazy
I must agree that Mr. Krabs was kind of Flanderized pre-movie as well. Just not in every episode. Howzabout we list all the episodes in which nothing Mr. Krabs does involves money? Copy and paste my list and add episodes to the "pre-movie" or "post-movie" sublists for the sake of neatness and completeness. Add notes in parenthesis if you wish. I've come up with an example for both time periods, but correct me if I am wrong.
PRE-MOVIE: "Sailor Mouth"
POST-MOVIE: "Shell of a Man" (I like this one enough to pretty much fit it in with the pre-movie canon, personally. Also, yes, SpongeBob makes fun of Mr. Krabs' greed on one part, but it counts because I'm pretty sure Mr. Krabs himself is not interested in money this time.)
