Sonic for life.
Mario and Wario. I tend to play as the characters I like from their own games.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)I'm a fan of Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B. The Unexpected characters are incredibly fun to use!
I sure said that!Luigi.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I do actually main Random to an extent. But when not being random I tend to use the aforementioned ones.
I've found that the only characters I don't have some degree of skill with are Meta-Knight, ironically, Ike, and Link.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! When I play with my friends, we always use our mains for a few rounds before defaulting to Random.
I make an effort to use every character. Though, my brother hates it when I use Jigglypuff (my Rollout always gives him grief).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Kirby main. I occasionally use Mario and DK as well. If I'm Player 4 I play Riddler.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It is a choice overflowing with romance.
I have a message from another time...Pikachu and Toon Link. I also use ROB occasionally.
Pikachu is my main, but I also like using Kirby. I like to use characters that are fast and maneuverable - I do really badly with slow, powerful characters.
Link, Ike, Fox, and Falco are my mains, though I also use Lucario, Captain Falcon, and Marth on the side.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Lucas is increasingly becoming my best character. He's just too awesome.
And though I'm not as good with them, I like using Snake and Game & Watch quite a bit. Olimar and Ice Climbers are surprisingly effective, and if I practiced with them I think I'd be really good with 'em.
Other than that, yeah, I like random. The only character I can't do halfway decent with is Dedede.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderDue to my being quite a fan of the Pikmin series of games, I use Olimar frequently; I also like Mr. Game & Watch for his sheer quirkiness. As for Dedede, he can be surprisingly deadly with a soupçon of practice...
"And every life is a special story of its own." —The Stargazer, Mass Effect 3I usually play Ike, Link, or Peach. Link because of franchise loyalty, Ike because I like dishing out heavy amounts of damage, and Peach because...I dunno about Peach, I just like playing her. I like her specials, I guess?
EDIT: Oh, and Captain Falcon. Because gotta go faaast!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI try to vary who I play as, but my main is Kirby, and I otherwise often use Toon Link, Fox, and Sonic.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Pikachu,Luigi, and Snake(my main). Oh and if I have my gamecube controller with me then Peach. I almost always win with Peach and GC controller. I used to main Lucas but not much anymore.

I drink 17 cups of coffee in court.ROB and Kirby with a side-order of Toon Link and Gdub.
And now I really wish ROB's Final Smash was something like Genesis Emerald Tager Buster, if only so my mains were consistently grapplers.
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValI just remembered, Lucas is another one I use rather often.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Hmm, I had a stage idea. How feasible would a Lylat-Cruise-esque stage work with Lightning Battle from Kid Icarus Uprising?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Depends what you're standing on, I suppose.
Perhaps the Lightning Chariot could pull a platform and it warps through a few locations, including the Lightning Battle.
I'm having trouble figuring out what it is you'd be standing on, yeah. Best I can think of is a rock like the one you ride on in The Aurum Brain, but that would be combining two levels...

Random for life.
