You know just on principle I would like to see humanity actually handle the Decepticons on their own. I mean didn't the original Transformers comics tie into the Marvelverse? Avengers, X-Men, the Fantastic Four... their assorted allies and enemies. Specifically Magneto the guy who can control metal...

Smokescreen obviously has a greater role to play, that's not the argument. The thing is that grooming a character to take over as leader requires them to demonstrate leader-quality traits from the beginning even if they have a lot to learn. One of the issues with Hot Rod is that leadership was forced upon him by fate and he did very little to earn that privilege, in fact it makes perfect sense why Optimus chose Ultra Magnus initially because he demonstrated noble leadership qualities even if he was just a humble soldier. But the movie didn't let him be a good leader because he wasn't The Chosen One.
My guess is Smokescreen will come to occupy either a strategist role or become The Lancer as part of his character development.
Seconded
Tough choice. But I wouldn't mind seeing a female Prime. So yeah Arcee.
No wait a human Prime. Jack you're an honorary Prime sssssssssoooooooooooooo.
Live your life.Hey, if he would die off for good without coming back by market executive request, it REALLY would be a twist :P
I have two scenarios about the death of Prime in this series.
First: They will pull a Beast Machines and Optimus will sacrifice himself at the end of the series and we will have a new autobot leader.
Second: We have a new Prime just long enough to recover the Forge and have the new Prime fix Optimus with it.
I really hope this means that the Dinobots, Ultra-Magnus, Kup and Hot Rod are going to show up.
Rumor is the Dinobots will show up, which would work perfectly with the Beast theme of the season. Ultra Magnus is a favorite to appear, especially since he already has several toys (Kup's toy was obviously an Ironhide design).
Kup? What Kup toy?
Do you mean that green "Jungle Ironhide" that came out in the US?
Meh, there's still the chance Ultra Magnus can't deal with that right now.

He need to learn. He never able to deal with something like that right now.
When can you deal with it Magnus? When can you deal with it?
One Strip! One Strip!Well I got the Beast Hunters Smokescreen, if it wasn't for the kibble on the arms (most of the hood and roof) it would be a near perfect Transformer. It's fairly obvious it was designed before the Beast Hunters line and all it has is some extraneous features to make it line up with the rest of the line. But the base vehicle mode is gorgeous.
Elita One needs to show up too.
The review I watched complained about the color, the feet, the armor, and the difficult transformation, but said it was an overall good set compared to the Arms Micron repaint of Knockout.
I'm overall just happy he got an original mold that has a decent range of articulation and can be posed well. Kibble is to be expected but the fact it isn't all put on his back (ironically making him unnaturally skinny rather than the norm) is a plus in my book. I would prefer the arm kibble to go on the back and the weird looking feet to look a little more clean (it has a flipper look to it). If I was to rank all my Prime figures:
- Deluxe Wheeljack: Near perfect, only complaint is the windshield kibble could fold better into his arms.
- Deluxe Soundwave: Limited articulation but has an excellent mood about him.
- Voyager Starscream: Great physical representation in both modes but the reliance on splitting the vehicle mode for the transformation makes it feel flimsy (notches pop out of place).
- Deluxe FE Bumblebee: Arms are weak and there isn't much to stabilize the torso, but looks good.
- Deluxe FE Vehicon: Some restrictive kibble but some great paint apps and a good design overall.
- Deluxe Smokescreen: Awkward kibble and feels very flimsy mid-transformation but looks very solid in both modes.
- Deluxe Ratchet: Would prefer a Voyager class version but still a well designed toy.
- Voyager RiD Bulkhead: Some bits and pieces could have been made to be more eloquent (the wheel "wings") but overall a good representation of the character.
- Deluxe RiD Arcee: The only problem is the cumbersome wheel hanging off the back.
- Deluxe RiD Cliffjumper: Too much of a backpack and has awkward gorilla arms.
- Deluxe Knock-Out: Would prefer some paint operations and a little more detailing, it's a rather hollow figure but not horrible.
Behold Beast Hunters Knock Out!
This place is careless....
0_o
Do not know if love or hate...
On the one hand, he looks hideous.
On the other, I have this mental image of pompous little Knock-Out, stalking out in the wild and hunting down a crocodile. All for the sole purpose of having a fabulous new jacket/vest.
>_<
...
Screw it, I welcome our new fashion overlord, Croc-Out. ^_^

Request for help
Pardon for the sudden interruption, but there is an edit war/argument going on on here about whether Transformers: Prime is Black-and-White Morality, Morality Kitchen Sink and Black-and-Gray Morality. Please weigh in.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've seen Knockodile as a nickname.
It's pretty black-and-white to me.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatMegatron and Co. bad. Optimus and Co. good.
Live your life. The Grey part could come from the previously corrupt autobot regime...
It was an Autobot regime wasn't it? I know that Megatron's crusade didn't begin in a vacuum.
One Strip! One Strip!
This is traditionally Bumblebee's role (granted, here he's mute and his theme is linked to overcoming his limitations). If Smokescreen was to be just the immature kid, he would've been there from the beginning. I cannot agree that delivering a single Omega key is the sole purpose of his arrival to Earth. (I don't like him either, though. Like I've said, he's the Cybertronian version of Miko with a phase shifter.) And yes, he will have to change in order to become a strong leader. Hopefully, if they go this way, he will grow up more like Beast Machines Cheetor and less like Hot Rod.
