I hear that the online has slackened off in anticipation of the soon-coming path. Then, activity will jump back up.

I see, I see.

Also, playing Valentine vs Marie, I discovered something. The poison syringe works on her. Do it, tag her, and block as her Health saps away. It made the fight the easiest I've had. And I am kinda annoyed about that "all routes are what ifs, but we don't have the true route" thing. It's bareable and a acceptable evil as long as they do release it. After all, all the crossover fanboys wanna cross this game over with everything else.

It makes sense, and will be okay when they release the true route. After all, the character focused stories are contradictory.

I think it's fine just because the "true route" seems to be a fairly recent phenomenon in fighting games.

I mean, before, you'd be lucky to get more story than just a background and a ending for each character.

Marie on hard...is a whole lot harder then I thought.

I tried on Ms Fortune solo on marie, and I couldn't beat her, I tried for like 30 minutes and after that point said screw it

I can't wait till that. Skullgirls online is DEAD. I totally need to meet up and fight one of you people.

Who's on psn? (Not today, but Monday afternoon/late night)

Well, it was eventual, but I think I'm starting to come up with a idea for a. Skullgirls fanfiction.

"Bitter Leaves"

The story starts as the game does. Each girl waking up to earthquakes and destruction. When the dust clears, it's appearent the entire city/setting where the game takes place was been merged/crashed into another universe (I get MK vibes. Goal: put them in a au / city in shambles). The second is that the girls all have memories of their story mode routes (including Squigly, Umbrella, and Black Dahlia), all execpt for Double and Cerebella (spoiler reasons). Marie too as well, seeing all the routes (because the skullheart is central to this).

As things fall into panic, double's masters and the king are nowhere to be found, the girls, along with "5 new characters" now are trying to figure out what to do next.

Crisis Equestria, I'm reminded of, having a Original AU, instead of a crossover as I originally planned (then I realized, hey, why not do what that fic did and just land them in a AU?). I'm no to sure on the plot, though I know who the major threat is going to be, and how she goes from Nobody To Nightmare disturbingly fast (only because she's coming out of the woodwork and wants the skullheart)

I only wonder what to do plotwise and for the SG's trinity / mother...I'm not sure what double would be doing.

The game starts with an earthquake?

In other news, working on my own fic as well.

Ah, there's a patch for Skullgirls coming out soon, that changes a lot of things mechanically, so people might be offline in anticipation for that. Online should pick up after the patch comes out.

I might consider the pc version if it really is better and I have a comp that can play it.

(As for the earthquake, no. That's my story . said natural destruction whatevers is the snap-back from someone hitting the Reset Button via a certain someone using the skullheart)....I think I need to think over things...

(Btw, what's your idea? I'd love to hear it)

Well, it's admittedly more U Mv C 3 focused than SG focused right now, but trying to work on that. In short, Phoenix Wright and Frank West in up in the world do Skullgirls after beating Galactus and try to find their way home, possibly joined by third member who I haven't determined yet. Skull Galactus will be involved somehow.

I tried a more general one, where villains are trying to take all three worlds over, but I couldn't think of anyone mastermind-y enough from the SG'verse.

I'd get it for PC, but I have enough fighting games on my plate as it is.

Double has a bit of a mastermindy vibe.

Granted, everything she's doing is in service to some higher power, but at the moment, she's the most potent (playable) evil in the game.

Also: Skull Galactus? Whatever Galactus is, I'm pretty sure it's not a female.

[up]I betcha there will be some technicality that Galactus has fused with the Skull Heart and not tried to make a wish upon it.

Or something.

well, I started thinking about my idea more, and well, maybe the whole idea of a au should be dropped. It means I need to create a whole new world, and I think I don't need it. The Snapback from Cerebella using the skullheart and hitting a reset button I think might do for putting things in chaos for when the story starts, and things get a bit more orderly as time goes on, but the city's in disaster recovery mode and Parasol's forced to take reign of things because her father is AWOL and she's next in line. And it would be everyone but Cerebella would retain their memories of their route. Double's is no consquence in the end I think.

Out of those 5 new OCs I mentioned, two really have any importance atm (have planned, at least). Alex, who's after revenge on Fillia, and then Ms. "Bitter Leaves" herself (not her real name, I'm just using it here. She's partly named after a bitter tea leaf), who as time continues becomes a greater threat. (at least in reguards to Marie and Parasol at the moment.)

While she is the primary threat, she's far from Big Bad territory. Maybe break it into a multi-way Big Bad Ensemble? with the Medci family, Marie and Valentine, the trinity, and "Bitter Leaves" all taking the slot?

Oh, and also I noticed something. If Fillia had white hair before she got Samson'd, who else has white hair? Black Dahila does. If she really isn't quite old, could it be possible that...

It's too late at night, I need to sleep. Connecting thoughts and impling that Dahila's Fillia's mother will come later...

Considering almost half the known cast is insane, morally questionable, or downright disturbing, I'd narrow the choices down to Filia, Ms. Fortune, Parasoul, Squiggly, Umbrella, and maybe Cerebella (and that's a big maybe considering that she wouldn't dare betray Vitale).

@Nicktendonick I don't remember there being much color-saturation in Filia's flashback. She probably had a light hair color, but white is a bit hard for me to believe.

I need some help for my fic. Does Fillia have a super mode? If not, can anyone think of one? Preferably, one that doesn't involve the Skull Heart (story reasons).

T Hey're all a part of the Skullgirls wiki that we've been linking too.

Where is the old prototype story? I've been wanting to learn those details but can't find it anywhere.

Well, ok. I’ve been thinking more-so about that fanfic idea. I do like some of the ideas, and now have more to say about it.

Currently, I kinda have it planned out as in a days-timeline. And at the moment, it’s mostly a per-character basis.

As for Bitter Leaves, I have a lot more of her. I do like the direction I take her in, making her a serious threat, despite being so…blue and orange. I had the three thoughts of her personality being that Blue and orange morality, where the way she thinks and acts is quite unusual such as visiting a Dagonian diner and expecting them to serve Dagonians. The other is factors of being a Egomanic Hunter. Bitter Leaves does consider herself a hunter, and the thrill of hunting her prey she finds fun. Lastly is The Sociopath part. She is a destructive person, who absolutely has a Lack of Empathy.

Her usual habits are self-improvement / growing stronger, cooking (She is a very good cook actually) or pleasure activities (eating, hunting, and cooking).

As for Double, I actually am thinking of what she’ll be doing. Long story short, “The strongest skullheart for the strongest skullgirl”. Due to the time travel shannagians and whatever else I can invent/pull the skullheart is stronger, and due to these distortions it’s possible there may be more then one of the cast becoming the skullgirl. At least Umbrella, Cerebella, and maybe Painwheel if I can justify it, and double ensures to prevent the disaster that was Marie and Rios and ensure when the powerful skullheart gets put into these girls who are turning into skullgirls (without the skullheart), the skullheart can control them, as it did for previous skullgirls. Also, on the other hand, there is a disaster, and unlike most things, Double should be there helping, as part of her duty as a member of the church…or something? (to throw in a bit of doubt, that double is more varied then a Flat Character who does skullgirl this and skullgirl that. ).

Also, one of those OCs, I finally integrated them into this. Rios “The gravelord”, a former skullgirl). I’m just not sure if I should place her before Nancy, or between Nancy and Marie. Her wish was “I wish to have control over the dead in any way, shape or means as I desire” (or something like that), and gained Necromancy powers and raised her parents back from the grave and made them alive again, and then killed them again, as revenge for trying to sell her into slavery (sound familiar?). Luckily for her, these same powers were why she survived losing the skullheart. Unluckily, it also means she’ll be serving all of her life sentences, locked away locked in a specialized cell and has been in there since.

And cue the second night, in which Bitter Leaves frees her. Rios isn’t happy with those who locked her up, and starts plotting revenge. Rios also is the convenient plot device to bring Marie back from the dead. Just like her parents. One death is not enough to quell revenge.. Overall, she may become a darker foil to Marie. Rios is less of a Knight Templar, while Marie is, and the two slowly swap as Rios’s desire for revenge grows (and not realizing that she needs to let go of the past).

Marie, as said Is going to die. Bitter Leaves is going to confront Skullgirl Marie, and beat her into stuffing, rip out of the skullheart, gloat and tries to escape with it (Tries). Marie and Peacock get to have their one final conversation, and Peacock takes her remains back to Lab 8. She’s brought back to full life by Rios later (as a human) (not a smart move on her part). Now free of the skullheart’s influence, she slowly sides away from being the Knight Templar she was and that she was wrong.

Brain drain is more on the hero’s side then I’d assume. I have 0 ideas on what canon BD is after, but for this one, figuring out the whole past thing from hitting valentine’s mind. He leaves the destroyed Lab Zero and heads to Lab 8. He actually tries to help, knowing the threats coming his way, Valentine wants to kill him and is a double agent, and that Painwheel is stronger and he’s losing control of her as Rios’s skullgirl blood may turn her into a psycho skullgirl. A Pragmatic and Genre Savvy (mostly) mad scientist. Things may chance if he gets his hands on Bitter Leaves and gets to experiment on her. I could see him trying, and not realizing how bad Evil Is Not a Toy. But I don’t know about this white

Parasol’s getting more time then I assumed then I would give her. Mostly that the day 2 and 3 have lots of Parasol events. and Night 2 will be the worst night of her life, thanks to Bitter Leaves. And going over the very ending to night 3, I think I made a pretty awesome Crowing Moment Of Awesome. I think this is all because I haven’t figured out what Fillia and Ms. Fortune is doing yet over these few days. Gotta have it flow, and maybe flowing with night 2, be the story’s Darkest Hour.

Night one ends on a upbeat note (thanks to Squiugly ending it with a nice song.) Two is very dark (Bitter Leaves's Moral Event Horizon and overall Wham Episode). Three, well, I only have one thing planned, maybe 2. Both are bittersweet.

I still need an endgame...*back to the blackboard*

If you think that's something check out her "finishing move". It's quite impressive. Not as big, but still impressive (and somehow gives me a Litchi feel)

I do wonder how she'll play once we get our hands on her. Umbrella too, I see no concept art or anything on umbrella.
