  • Awesome Music:
    • Rise, the OP to Otikata's Curse, a killer metal tune that captures the evil of Otikata.
    • I Will Be Your Hero, the OP for The Divine Wind, brings to mind a classic anime opening in all the right ways.
    • A Hero Rises, the music for the intense clashes, is just as strong and heart-pumping as the clashes themselves.
    • Song of the Seven, a beautiful ballad to accompany the end of the Violet Arc, featuring the voices of many of the players.
    • Tyre, The Mad Wizard, the titular theme of Tyre, which serves as his boss music.
  • Fan Nickname:
    • The party members of "The Shattered Crowns" (Guy, Scrumpo, Huckleberry, Iron Pipe, and Ikkar) are almost universally referred to as "The Shattered Clowns" by fans, due to their general, lovable incompetence.
    • The party in "Shrine of Sin" (Kenji, Verp, Akakai, Worgh the Wyrd and Zhan Ren) are called "Shrine of Misses," based on how they've had an unusually high rate of… Well, misses, even against enemies who have the minimal AC at 10.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • During Episode 5 of Otikata's Curse, after the players learn of the Ruthless trait, Veibae jokingly says she wants to see one of the players die, with Haruka claiming that it's going to be her. Becomes a lot less funny when that's exactly what happens with Haruka's character, River, dying and Vei's character, Nia, as the last fighter standing while the others are unconscious, using a cursed action as a last resort and in grief...
    • With information that has come out showing Arcadum to be a Control Freak and far more reliant on improvisation than he presented himself as, the switch from "Among the Reeds" to "Servants of the Spire" changes a fair bit, as the Depthar invasion was most likely something that Arcadum was trying to force rather than an organic consequence of the player's actions note . Given that Arcadum had hinted at a Fugitive Arc that the players actually showed interest in, only to then use what was effectively a non-lethal Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies to force the players into a more standard and far more intensive campaign instead, it comes off much less like sociopathic characters getting their rightful comeuppance, and more like a vindictive GM inflicting overly-harsh and petty punishment on the players for daring to overshadow him and take his campaign Off the Rails.
    • Many things about how he acted towards female players come across as a lot more uncomfortable after the information of his behind-the-scenes behavior came out.
      • All of the sexual humor involving the NPCs goes from "funny" to "insanely creepy" when accounting for Arcadum's behind-the-scenes sexual harassment of the players that he would perform these scenes with.
      • The constant tendency of Babylon to pop up for female players also becomes more unsettling, given that it likely wasn't that they actually found a way to call on him, just that Arcadum wanted him to interact with them.
      • The tendency of characters like Clifface Bonechewer and Hokky Kepto, who seem to have been explicitly meant to elicit sympathy from the players, to appear throughout "Death and Debts" and "Steel and Silence," given that the very same kind of tactics were often used by Arcadum on his victims.
      • In "Otikata's Curse", the last few episodes had some of the girls drinking during the sessions, which led to a few moments that were kind of amusing. A lot less so when the player clarified later that it wasn't the normal kind that they occasionally did on their own streams, but explicitly to calm their nerves enough just to get through the sessions, due to Arcadum's attitude towards them and tendency to neglect to provide any helpful information to them before it became absolutely necessary (and sometimes not even then).
    • In "Otikata's Curse", the battle against the Mistwalker became a lot harsher when some of the players eventually came to talk more openly about what happened afterward; for the sake of brevity, this effectively consisted of Arcadum dismissing their (very deserved) complaints, talking down to them, and leaving them pressured to simply try to look at the bright side rather than be open about how frustrated and out of their depth that they actually felt.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • During Episode 4 of Shrine of Sin, Tomato jokes about pulling out a smartphone to check the weather. Verp later actually manages to get his hands on a modern tablet in universe.
    • Those who followed the "Steel and Silence" group might find it amusing in "Among the Reeds" when Machio asks the same question that ProjektMelody/Terryn had at one point: "Are we the baddies?" The Steel and Silence party are more chaotic than anything, but in the case of Machio's party, they most definitely are.
    • When the party of "Death and Debts", which was comprised of Virtual YouTubers, mostly from VShojo, is brought to Camp Last Stand, they are informed about the Star Maidens, basically Verum's version of Magical Girls, and a few people suggest making the party into Star Maidens, though nothing comes of it. Later in "Otikata's Curse," Lucine Lavendel, who is played by Nyanners, another VTuber from VShojo, would become the first player character to actually attain this status.
    • The antics of "Among the Reeds"/"Servants of the Spire" were already funny before, but after the information on Arcadum came out, along with his Control Freak nature and Railroading tendencies being made far more well-known, the fact that they were undoubtedly pissing Arcadum off to no end the whole time makes them far more amusing.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • TOPS note
    • "I love the moon."
      • "I no longer love the moon."
    • 7 note
    • lolmonk note
    • Crowley stonks note
    • 17.8% note
  • Nightmare Fuel: Arcadum is a big fan of horror and he makes good use of it in his games.
    • In Kalkatesh, there was the Violet, a threat that could not only erase a character completely, it would remove any memories other people had of that person. Even worse is any players who had more than one character as through their connection, one of them dying to the Violet will eliminate ALL of them…
    • In Giles, there is the Mist, where when it appears, people are under threat of many disturbing and powerful creatures that can only be found residing in the Mist, ready to maim anyone they find inside it. Many sessions involving them typically have the players try to sneak a way, encountering many monsters along the way, if not hearing them, out of sight but definitely somewhere closeby.
    • Pretty much anytime he screeches as a monster. They are typically very loud and primal.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: The series, its various campaigns, and Arcadum himself are nowadays entirely discussed with regards to the many behind-the-scenes horror stories that popped up around August 2021, documenting a history Arcadum being chronically abusive and highly manipulative towards his players and fellow creators, including sexually harassing around 20 female participants. With just about everyone who formerly collaborated him — players, artists, composers, business partners, etc. — verifying his bad behavior and disowning him, making it next-to-impossible for the series to continue, it's just as unlikely that he will ever shed the bad press.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Lemondrop from "Pride of the Nightwolf." He gained some ire from both the campaign's players and fans due to not bothering to help the party in combat and constantly trying to come on to a grieving widower who obviously wanted nothing to do with him. However, some opinions turned around when his reasoning for his pacifism is revealed, he finds a way to make himself useful, and directly stands up to his brother and the Eclipse. This results in a fair few dismayed reactions when Mei receives a contract to assassinate him.
