  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Lars actually smarter and more mature than Fry, or just better at fitting in? His wit and confidence is recontextualized by The Reveal as he knew that he would be with Leela and didn't have the same uncertainty as Fry; once something happens that he didn't expect, namely learning about the doomed nature of paradox duplicates, he makes an impulsive decision that hurts Leela despite his opposite intentions. Additionally, the alternate version of Fry did learn the same I Want My Beloved to Be Happy lesson as the primary Fry, but once he learns that he's Lars, he immediately freezes himself and spends his life preparing to meet Leela, once again dedicating himself to her. The primary Fry learned the same lesson without needing the context of Lars being his time duplicate, and it was only then that Lars considered telling them the truth about his identity. Overall, it's uncertain how much of Lars' personality emerged naturally from life experience and how much was him being Crazy-Prepared.
  • Awesome Music:
  • Captain Obvious Reveal: Lars is a duplicate of Fry. Well, with them being voiced by the same guy and having the same facial structure as Fry in a movie about time travel, who'da thunk it? (Then again, being voiced by Billy West doesn't narrow things down much in Futurama.)
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: The Chanukah Zombie, partly due to being voiced by Mark Hamill (and with an Actor Allusion via his stereotypical Jewish-themed TIE Fighter), to the point he got a figure in the blind box series by Kidrobot. Pretty impressive given he only speaks during "This Toy Shop's Going to War".
  • First Installment Wins: Between the four Futurama direct-to-DVD movies (of which all but one of them received near-universal praise from the fanbase), this one is by far and away the most popular with fans with close second being either Into the Wild Green Yonder or Bender's Game depending on who you ask. Some even wish that we had gotten a theatrical Futurama movie based on its storyline, rather than the four DVD movies (and later Comedy Central seasons) that we actually did get.
  • Genius Bonus: Fry gets on a taxicab with the number 87539319, the third taxicab number. Explanation
  • Tear Dryer: In Lars' timeline, Seymour was allowed to live a full life with Fry.
