- Fridge Brilliance: Afton's death via spring-lock suit after the song "You Can't". In canon, it's stated that the faulty spring-locks would come undone by excessive movement or simply breathing on them. With Boyfriend taking the lead for a change — singing much more aggressively for Afton to follow suit, results in him moving a lot in the suit and breathing a lot from singing to set off the death trap he's wearing, effectively getting baited to his death by Boyfriend. Adding onto this, fan theories speculate that William indeed knew about the hazards of the springlocks during his battle, but when Boyfriend showed him no fear, he began panicking and forgetting about this danger until it was too late.
