Sumo Mouse was a short-lived animated series made in 2010 by Vision Animation

In the city of Catropolis, cats and mice live in harmony but the evil Hieronymus Claw, the most powerful cat in the city, wants to become even more powerful. But first, he needs to do away with a prophecy that tells of an avenger who will appear when the people need him. Claw's first step of this plan is kidnapping local barber Herbie Matsumoto, who is well informed about the legend, as well as everything about sumo wrestling. Herbie's nephew Yama stumbles upon a strange o-icho that, when he puts it on, transforms him into the mighty Sumo Mouse. Now, Yama works to find his uncle, foil Claw's evil schemes and unearth more about the origins of his power.

Sumo Mouse contains examples of:

  • Ambiguously Absent Parent: It's never stated where Yama or Nadia's parents are.
  • And the Adventure Continues: Sumo Mouse saves Catropolis from destruction but Nadia still wants to take it over, recruiting Team Terror and Claw's henchmen as the Minx, while Claw swears to Sumo Mouse that he'll be back.
  • Clear My Name: In "That's a Big Butt" Claw has his henchmen destroy several ancient historical sites and frame Sumo mouse for it.
  • Enemy Mine: Morpho Mouse suggests teaming up to take down Claw. Sumo Mouse doesn't bite.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Team Terror was fine with working for Claw to take down Sumo Mouse but they draw the line when Claw decides to destroy Catropolis.
  • Karma Houdini: None of the bad guys are punished-Nadia is free to try to conquer Catropolis and Claw escapes to space where he can safely plot his revenge.
  • Kryptonite Factor: Sumo Mouse's is an ancient cheese whose smell causes him to pass out.
  • Maybe Ever After: In "That's a Cataclysmic Decision", Tabby kisses Yama to revive him, but it's unknown if she returns his feelings or Wazzie's for that matter.
  • Motive Decay: Morpho Mouse forgets about wanting revenge on Claw.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Nadia wants Catropolis for herself and hides it by pretending to be a ditz.
  • Running Gag: Sumo Mouse transforming in small, cramped places. Also, Wazzie changing his sidekick name, until he settles on Kamikaze Kitten.
