SFC: Forest of Dreams is a Survivor-based webcomic created by Vilecheese that began in 2010. The setup is similar to Survivor: Fan Characters, with fan characters from different series participate in the game of Survivor. However, Forest of Dreams is far more outlandish, with ridiculous characters and storylines that must be seen to be believed. The characters are crazier, the villains are viler, and the tribes are more dysfunctional than you will ever see in a season of Survivor, which is a large part of the series appeal.
There are three seasons: Forest of Dreams, Blackjack Bay, and the Cavernous Labyrinth.
SFC: Forest of Dreams contains examples of:
- An Arm and a Leg: Alexandra drops a log on one of Chuckles's arms. He loses said arm.
- Battle of Wits: Well, it IS a Survivor webcomic.
- Character Development: Maddie started out as a depressed Emo Teen. After surviving Skazzatrazz's attempt to kill her, she gets a new lease on life, becoming happier and more energetic than she was before.
- The Chessmaster: Mordecai from Forest of Dreams. Ibrehem and La'Toya from Blackjack Bay also qualify.
- Darker and Edgier: The villains in the series are far eviler than anyone you will ever see on Survivor.
- Deadpan Snarker: Many characters take a turn. Blanc from Forest of Dreams and Cree from Blackjack Bay are the most prominent examples.
- Do Not Call Me "Paul": Kelsey insists that she be called Numbuh 2x4. Austin, however, prefers to use her real name instead.
- The Drag-Along: Cree did not want to be part of the game to begin with.
- Dysfunction Junction: Every single tribe.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Hipster Slime in "The Cavernous Labyrinth" is a slime who is a hipster.
- Gentle Giant: Megumi from Blackjack Bay. Morty as well, most of the time.
- Graceful Loser: After Bartholomew's elimination, he says he's glad that he got to play his favorite game for real alongside his brother.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Hakoda makes himself a target at Tribal Council to save Ibuki.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: Krystal just wants everyone to have a good time, but winds up unintentionally making most of her tribe hate her in the process.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Erinthecourt tries a gambit to assure he's going forward with the stronger person between Couscous and Stiletto. He ends up getting eliminated himself.
- It's All About Me: Alexandra, a tyrannical princess, had her tribemates build her a throne!
- Jerkass: Skazzatrazz joined the game just to torture the others. He eventually gets a Non-Gameplay Elimination.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Eliza eliminates Griff with an idol early on, and is eventually taken out by an idol play herself.
- Meaningful Name: Ibrehem was named after a member of the Ulong tribe from Survivor: Palau. His tribe falls in a very similar fashion.
- Non-Gameplay Elimination:
- Skazzatrazz got booted out for his jerkassery.
- Bud dies after a Heroic Sacrifice.
- Lily was ejected from the game after assaulting Austin with a piece of garlic bread. The incident caused Austin to lose an eye and receive burns on his face.
- Angry quit the game at Tribal Council to let Xayla's guard down, then destroyed her crisperizer.
- Monty was kicked out for nearly murdering two people.
- Odd Friendship: Quite a few examples:
- The shell-shocked Hakoda and the Cloud Cuckoolander Ibuki.
- Sarcastic blob Bob and childlike green thing Chuckles.
- Levelheaded convict Morty and energetic rocker Krys.
- Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Squaria predicted she'd be the first one out from her tribe. Her resulting paranoia ended up making this happen.
- Shocking Elimination:
- Griff was idoled out of nowhere by Eliza
- Frank was completely safe until Melissa accused him of masterminding her horrible behavior.
- Austin was voted out on Day 39 due to a twist at what would have otherwise been the Final Tribal Council.
- Sibling Yin-Yang: Bartholomew and Sid from Blackjack Bay. Bonus points for being Conjoined Twins.
- Sole Survivor: Blanc emerged victorious in "Forest of Dreams".
- The Unintelligible:
- Bud can only communicate through "Wah Wah" noises.
- Pablo hasn't learned how to talk, due to being a baby. He can communicate via pictures.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Kelsey builds an amazing shelter for her tribe... and becomes the first person voted out shortly afterward.
