shadow759 is a YouTube creator who primarily makes Sonic the Hedgehog focused videos where he dubs over the characters, particularly Shadow. And said characters aren't quite as they appear in their games. Needless to say Hilarity Ensues.

shadow759 contains examples of the following:

  • Arc Welding: The events of Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors are all connected together in the Reminiscent videos.
    • Some version of the Metarex War from Sonic X is seen to have happened in the past of these videos, which are set in a version of the games universe.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Shadow and Sonic do occasionally show that they actually care for Silver and Tails as friends.
  • Bad Boss: Vector. He mistreats Silver as much as Shadow does and then there's the "Oven Punishment", where he stuffs his employees in the oven while it's still on.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Shadow has a Hair-Trigger Temper but when people try using Maria to trick him then he gets violently murderous.
    • Silver doesn't like his design being compared to weed.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Silver usually tries to be a Nice Guy and good friend to the others but any time that he gets any power over Shadow he'll usually pay back the jerk with interest for all the abuse he has to go through.
  • Butt-Monkey: Silver. He's abused relentlessly by Shadow and Vector, the rest of his friends don't respect him and are also prone to treating him like Shadow does.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Sonic flirts with any slightly attractive women that catches his eye but he usually crashes and burns when he talks to them.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: The Reminiscent videos start out lighthearted and joke filled like prior videos but eventually dovetail into a dramatic storyline with real stakes for the world.
  • Character Development:
    • Later videos have Shadow as still a Jerkass but nowhere near as sociopathic as he used to be and he does make small overtures that show that he does see Silver as a friend.
    • While Silver is still an Extreme Doormat he's a lot less cowed by Shadow, often just shrugging off getting attacked or insulted.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: As much of a Casanova Wannabe as he tends to be when Sonic actually has some success with women he's seen to be respectful to them.
  • Cloudcuckoolander:
    • Sonic and Knuckles both qualify.
    • Vector as well, to a smaller degree. He does know how a business is supposed to work but he has some strange ideas about how to run one. He's completely shocked at the idea of having more than one employee, sets up an electric fence around the Pizza Hut to keep Silver from leaving while being completely ignorant to the fact that this will keep any customers out as well and tries to use a pen to write that's smaller than his whole hand.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: Shadow's treatment of Silver is horrific to say the least but it's always done in such a way that it's hilarious to watch.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Zigzagged with Silver. He frequently mouths off to Shadow and even tries to stand his ground from time to time but he's usually too timid in the face of Shadow's temper to actually do much about his mistreatment.
  • Gun Nut: Downplayed with Shadow. He's not especially rabid about it but he does appreciate firearms and will comment on those he sees when watching videos with Silver.
  • Hidden Depths: Sonic is seen to be an environmentalist and also knows Spanish.
  • Jerkass: Shadow. He's hot tempered and violent on his good days and nearly everything that comes out of his mouth is some kind of insult. In the earlier videos especially he was downright sociopathic in how he treated Silver.
    • There's also Sonic, who tends to be a bit of a selfish jerk and doesn't always treat Tails right.
  • Jerkass to One: Silver is a Nice Guy who tries to be friendly with just about everyone, though not without snarking about their antics. With Shadow though he's a Deadpan Snarker who has no issue telling the lunatic off for his anger and violence and the times he's seen to get any position of power over Shadow you can expect Silver to go off the rails in getting back at him for all the crap he has to put up with.
  • Karma Houdini: Shadow is a complete and utter Jerkass who's never made to answer for any of the demented things he inflicts on others, especially Silver. And it's shown that he thrives on this fact of life. That said karma does sometimes give him a proverbial smack to the face.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Shadow can usually get away with being a violent maniac but every so often he winds up paying for his actions.
    • Generally when Sonic and Knuckles are aggravating him Shadow has little recourse but to put up with them because he can't scare the two into doing what he wants like he can with Silver.
    • The Night Of The Werehog videos have Knuckles driving Shadow up the wall as The Thing That Would Not Leave and Sonic gets away with stealing his toaster.
    • When Shadow and Silver babysit Cream Shadow upsets Cream so much that she beats him up so badly he winds up in a full body cast. Ironically Silver, Shadow's biggest victim, avoids any real misfortune in this one.
    • This video hits Shadow with karma hard. He winds up blamed for destruction that Sonic actually caused and despite actually winning the court case he still winds up sentenced to Canada for attacking his lawyer in lieu of jail time.
  • Morality Chain: Silver strives to be this to Shadow, trying to get him to reel in his worst impulses. While it fails most of the time Shadow has gradually learned to reel in his temper.
  • Nice Guy: Silver. He tries to be friendly and polite to everyone, though he's not above quipping about their shenanigans. He also has the patience of a saint to not only stay friends with Shadow but also try to help him improve as a person.
  • Pet the Dog: Shadow does show he's not irredeemable from time to time.
    • He genuinely tries to help Tails move on from losing Cosmo in a few videos.
    • In Silver Looks For A Job at the end Shadow comes around acting like his usual abrasive self but it's all a cover for him to slip Silver some rings for his rent. Then he follows that up by telling Silver to just come to him for help the next time he has that kind of trouble. Silver is almost moved to tears by the gesture.
Shadow (In Sincerity Mode): Next time you come to me.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: In the Christmas Special when Silver and Shadow have their positive and negative energy switched around Silver delivers one of these to Shadow; calling him out on being an absolute Jerkass who constantly mistreats Silver when Silver stays around to help him despite having a life beyond Shadow, even pointing out that right now they're stuck in Canada because of Shadow and Silver can't be with any of his friends during Christmas of all times. When they get their energy returned to normal Silver tries to apologize but Shadow admits he did have a point.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Shadow and Silver. Shadow abuses him relentlessly, Silver mouths off to him and occasionally does even worse than Shadow does as payback and you question how the two can stand being within ten miles of each other. But it gets shown time and again that they really do care for each other.
