"Man, we got bald quick!"

"Ever since that day I vowed one thing. To be zen as fuck. Or my name wasn't Stan"
-Stan, after having killed Imitation Crab Meat Man.

Created by the insane and legendary PurpleEyesWTF, One Punch Stan (what bugs the hands of fate) is an abridgement one-shot of the hit anime One-Punch Man. The series takes itself in a completely insane direction that diverges so far from the original source material, it almost becomes something else entirely.

Tropes applying to One Punch Stan:

  • Accent Upon The Wrong Syllable: Stan is very much confused by G.E.N.E.'s robotic cadences.
  • Adaptational Badass: Sonic's groin, while being the softest part of his body, is strong enough to withstand falling on Stan's fist. Also Sonic himself is this, as he gets away scott free with... a-hem, introducing his groin to Stan's fist. Twice. This is a huge contrast to his portrayal as a Butt-Monkey in the original series.
  • Adaptational Name Change: Our main hero's name goes from Saitama to the even more unremarkable "Stan". Genos also has his name changed to G.E.N.E.
  • Adaptational Species Change: Crablante (Imitation Crab Meat Man) goes from a half-man half-crab to a half-man half-imitation crab.
  • Atomic F-Bomb: After Sonic attacks Stan's fist with his crotch:
Stan: WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO?!
  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: Subverted with G.E.N.E. He actually has a mechanical pressure-driven piston in his groin area for sex, though he may go so hard, it can go flying out.
  • Berserk Button: Apparently, Imitation Crab Meat Man dropping the joke "Now you've made me crabby!" was infuriating enough for Stan to murder him.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: invokedA monster bursts into Stan's apartment when he and G.E.N.E. are talking. The monster announces "Ha HA! It was I all along!" before Stan punches him to death. Stan and G.E.N.E. never bring this up in conversation.
  • Bond One-Liner: G.E.N.E. tries to give one after Stan kills the Scarabiodian.
G.E.N.E.: Looks like that was one bug that was too hard to catch.
  • Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: G.E.N.E. suggests going to the gym, playing whack-a-mole, and going swimming, but only really attracts Stan's attention when he makes it clear they can do those activities all at the same time. They set the pool on fire.
  • Brick Joke: The whack-a-mole machine contains a warning on the screen. The owner of the game promptly tears into Stan for not reading the rules after he breaks it.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life
Stan: My entire life, I've wanted the opportunity to make the world a better place and this is what you give me?
  • Didn't Think This Through: The God Swarm of H.U.M.U.N.K.U.L.E.S. claims that by putting their entire hive mind in one fly, they are functionally immortal as long as the one fly survives. Because of this, the entire swarm dies when Stan kills the one single fly.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Imitation Crab Meat Man attacks Stan for asking him where his pants are. Stan then gruesomely kills him for making a "Crabby" pun.
  • End of an Age: Rather poignantly, this is the last abridged video PurpleEyes created before formally announcing his retirement to focus on his marriage and job managing a power plant (though he still occasionally helps out others by lending his voice for projects). The ending text, which are usually his typical nonsense in other videos, are instead sincere and heartfelt:
"I never know how to end these things. I guess I'll just leave you with the first thing that pops into my head...Take every opportunity you can to be a hero or heroine for somebody. Also, thanks to the ENTIRE team behind the creation of 'One Punch Man.' And as always: thank YOU for watching!"
  • Exact Words: G.E.N.E.'s got a point. What other arm?
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • The documents briefing Stan on his target.
I highly recommend not reading this. It says practically nothing of value. The document would just look stupid if nothing else was on it. Oh I guess there could be some details about your mission. Yes, check the information below for more. Also, burn this after reading. Putting text here is critical to making this document look important. Thankfully, it came in an envelope that also looks important. This is an important document. You should recycle more, the planet will thank you for it. Anyway, good luck out there and Godspeed; I included some helpful pictures so you have a better idea of who you're after and where you need to go. Neat, huh?
    • There's also the (poorly written) safety message on the game of whack-a-mole.
Warning by playing this game you regonize it WILL explode and the owner will then use it as an excuse for you do something for him. P.S. Step back
  • Fun with Acronyms: G.E.N.E. stands for "Genetically Enhanced Neurological Electro-sapien".
  • Groin Attack: Inverted. Sonic attacks Stan's fist with his groin.
  • Karma Houdini: Sonic never gets any comeuppance for introducing his groin to Stan's fist....twice in a row, as he escapes from him scott-free after having humiliated Stan and grossed him out.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: Imitation Crab Meat Man gets killed for his "now you've made me crabby" pun.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Stan points out that the pool's owner was dumb enough to run live cable underwater when he and G.E.N.E. are being reprimanded.
  • No Ending: The video just abruptly cuts to credits after Stan's Screw This, I'm Outta Here reaction to G.E.N.E.'s Bond One-Liner.
  • Oh, Crap!: Once Stan realizes that the research doctor is talking about Two Girls One Cup.
  • Only Sane Man: Stan goes between this and being insane just for the heck of it. He notes that the owner of a gym ran live cable underwater, but didn't seem to mind while he was playing underwater whack-a-mole.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: G.E.N.E. apparently can't quite grasp the concept of familiar sayings. After being insulted, Stan remarks that "tin man's got teeth", noting his verbal jab, but G.E.N.E. then describes his teeth, which are made from synthetic chicken bones.
    • Also this conversation:
Stan: Why are you doing this to me?
G.E.N.E.: I am calibrating my friendship skill. How am I doing so far?
Stan: (sarcastically)Great man, you're knocking it out of the park.
    G.E.N.E.: Very excellent.
  • Scarab Power: The "Scarabiodia" that Stan has to fight is part Scarab beetle part human super-strong creature.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Stan at the end.
Stan: Fuck you. We're going home.
  • Sophisticated as Hell: In the beginning, Stan vows to be "zen as fuck".
  • Sssssnake Talk: Sonic does this whenever he says Stan's name.
  • Stealth Pun: While it may just be Purple Eyes being insane as always, consider how the original anime is a parody of superheroes and the name of Saitama in this version. Stan. Stanley. Stan Lee.
  • Toilet Humor: Stan and G.E.N.E. are sent after a doctor who has a kink for scat and is driven by the removal of "Two Girls One Cup" from the internet.
