The AirPod Movie is a 2020 animated movie created by YouTuber Cheetoh Studios
. It was originally a series of short animated clips before the animator compiled them into a movie, in addition to adding a few new scenes.
The plot centers around an AirPod named Jason who wants to break up with his girlfriend but can’t seem to do it, and Hilarity Ensues.

The AirPod Movie contains examples of:
- Accidental Misnaming: Lucy’s father does this to Jason. It starts with him calling him “Mason”, only for it to devolve into calling him “Dexter”.
- Alpha Bastard: Parodied with the Pro Brothers, a duo of AirPod Pros at Orange and Blue's high school who talk and behave in an over-the-top snooty manner. Although they only seem to think they’re popular when in reality nobody actually likes them (if Orange’s claims are to be believed).
- Animate Inanimate Object: The movie takes place in a world populated by electronic devices, and is centered around an AirPod.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Orange comes off as this to his step-brother Jason at first, though they do have a moment of Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other at the end.
- Ascended Meme: Back when the movie was just a collection of separate shorts, many viewers have pointed out in comments that the AirPods look like Brian Griffin. Sure enough, the tangled headphones at the bus stop mistaken Jason for Brian, and Brian even makes a cameo during Jason’s dream.
- Big Eater: Lucy, who eats seven cheeseburgers during her date with Jason.
- Bratty Teenage Daughter: Lucy acts like one despite being 29, often yelling at her parents (granted, it's not like her parents are any better).
- Comically Missing the Point: This exchange Orange and Blue have with Cletus Pro:Cletus: Did you guys know that 90% of garbage doesn't even make it into the trash?Blue: W-What?Orange: Yeah, because the rest of it is standing here talking to us! OHHHH-HOOO!Cletus: Oh, don't be silly. Garbage is non-sentient and therefore cannot speak.(Beat as Orange gives a Death Glare)
- Crossover Cameo: After Jason gets a beer bottle thrown to his head knocking him out, he has a dream where he meets Brian Griffin.
- Eating Machine: Characters can eat despite the fact that they apparently don’t have digestive systems, according to the tangled headphones at least.
- Furry Reminder: An Animate Inanimate Object variation; sometimes there are gags involving the characters being electronics:
- Jason having a built-in cell phone.
- Stacy, a hearing aid, requiring batteries to function and making feedback-like noise when they run low.
- The Bluetooth speaker waiter at the restaurant trying to play music to “set the mood” during Bud’s date (using himself of course)
- The Pro Brothers producing the EAS tone while blowing out vape smoke.
- Geeky Turn-On: Bud finds his date Stacy being a demolitionist "hot". Similarly, Stacy finds Bud's tendency to use flashcards on dates "cute".
- Gonk: The Pro Brothers are more crudely drawn than the other characters.
- Karmic Death: After admitting to killing his wife and then pulling out a gun on Bud, the waiter at the restaurant ends up exploding from Stacy’s feedback after her battery runs low.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Jason’s best friend is a Galaxy Bud named “Bud”.
- Minor Flaw, Major Breakup: Lucy ends up dumping Jason after finding out that he took the bus. Although Jason is happy about this, considering he’s been wanting to break up with her the whole movie.
- Mondegreen Gag:
- Stacy is prone to this due to being hard of hearing.
- When Jason tells Lucy’s father that he works as a software engineer, he mishears it as “softserve engineer” and assumes he works with ice cream.
- No Indoor Voice: Stacy yells throughout her date with Bud.
- Once Done, Never Forgotten: This is what Lucy's dad angrily rants about after crapping in the family cat's litterbox due to Lucy taking too long in the bathroom, and assumes people are going to only remember him for doing it:Darryl: Okay, yeah, sure. This is what I'm going to be remembered for, right? Yeah, when I'm dead, everyone's just going to remember me for this, right? Not for paying the mortgage, or paying my taxes, huh? No. No! None of that! I've been a good citizen, a great father, a great husband all my life, but they're just going to remember me shitting in a box!
- Orange/Blue Contrast: As their names suggest, Orange and his friend Blue are an orange and blue AirPod, respectively.
- Playing Sick: Orange does this to get out of school after having his day ruined by the Pro Brothers.
- Seinfeldian Conversation: A lot of the dialogue consists of this.
- Smoking Is Not Cool: The Pro Brothers vape which both Orange and Blue find annoying, particularly due to the smell.
- Womanchild: Lucy to a T. Despite being 29, she acts like a bratty teenager.
