VShojo will be adding new streamers as they're ready, as opposed to in "generations."
This will especially be the case if they bring in other existing streamers already in the original members' orbit, but would apply to new streamers as well, in the same way Froot and Hime's premieres were handled.
  • Confirmed in Mouse's stream introducing her "Season 2" avatar, where she stated outright that VShojo will not be dealing in "generations."
  • Further confirmed by Vei's solo premiere as part of VShojo on April 9, 2021.

The "cream π" team on Twitch is the "staging" area for potential VShojo additions.
The group currently includes VShojo members Nyanners, Silver, and Mouse, as well as Vei and Snuffy.

The team name likely comes from Silver mentioning that cream pies -not what you think-  are her favorite dessert during her re-debut stream. note

  • Possibly confirmed by Vei finally joining VShojo.
  • Likely Jossed at this point; Snuffy is no longer a member of the group (nor is Nyanners). That said...

Snuffy will eventually be a member of the group.
She is the independent VTuber on Twitch who is closest to the VShojo crew, now that Vei has joined, so it would be logical that she would be next in line. She's also done a great deal of updating to her avatar and on-screen elements since unveiling her raccoon avatar.
  • Snuffy did note in a June 2021 stream that she has had no discussions on joining to date, but did confirm she is good friends with a number of current members and holds the group in high regard.

There will eventually be a division for male streamers.
The name "VShonen" has been tossed around in various forums, although considering the shenanigans the debut members get into, maybe "VSeinen" would be a better term...
  • Fuel for this WMG: Things VTubers Say reported on their 06 October 2021 episode that "vshonen.com" has been registered...and currently redirects to the main VShojo web page.
  • Jossed after Kuro's debut in September 2023; Ironmouse had this to say about VShonen:
Mouse: We don't have VShonen, and we will never have VShonen. It's all VShojo, guys! United under one umbrella. We don't need to separate the men! Keep the men with us...well, 'man', we only have one..."

There will eventually be a Japanese division.
The company has a Japanese Twitter account set up and active, and the official site notes that cofounder Justin "theGunrun" Ignacio has experience with "startups in Tokyo focusing on streaming technology, anime music culture, and analytics."

Plus, there are a sizable number of independent VTubers in Japan whom they could tap into. This would provide these performers another option beside joining a group like hololive or Nijisanji, especially if they want to retain their own identities and models.

  • Confirmed as of Anime Expo on July 2, 2022, with Kson On Air starting it off, no less.

Nazuna's Open Secret is part of her lore.
She has amnesia, thus being unable to recall her life prior to being found by Kson. This said, it is possible to subconsciously recall things with certain stimuli.

Consider that she seemed to recognize Kson ("You are..."), her being called "pettan" led to "Not pettan! Boing boing...", and talking about "wataame" led to her briefly thinking of Watame (with her subsequently clarifying that she knows of Watame being her brain trying to make sense of things). Not to mention her eyes turning red sometimes and her familiar death metal-esque scream.

Then there's her key. That the base can behead people and her saying she'll take good care of the heads is very much in line with her previous life. (While the official videos have it unlocking a door leading to an announcement, aside from that it's probably just a weapon.)

Given her previous life, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think she'd have a plan in place to be reborn in the event death came for her, likely made with help from others. As such, the amnesia may be intentional, both for her sake and for those of who she once called friends.

  • Ironmouse's "HeavenFall" lore video briefly shows Nazuna in Heaven, seemingly bearing witness to the thing that resulted in everyone who saw it being banished to Hell/the Underworld with their memories of its appearance wiped...and yet we don't see Nazuna down there, which may suggest that her memory issue isn't due to witnessing the thing (in fact, her reactions and dialogue come across more like...well, see below). Notably, while we don't see Nazuna in Hell/the Underworld, we do see Calliope Mori.

Dragon Zen has a role to play in the Melware saga.
Well, yes, this has kinda been established already - Cyborg Zen has all of Dragon Zen's memories, and it's clear she has Dragon Zen's other traits as well.

Between Cyborg Zen's lore video and her debut, Cyborg Zen met Dragon Zen and convinced her of who she was, with the two later convincing the VShojo crew in order to gain their trust.

Mouse has mentioned that Dragon Zen's whereabouts aren't important right now (thereby implying they'll be important later). In any case, Dragon Zen is likely in hiding.

At some point, the Zens will be injured in a way that leaves Dragon near death and Cyborg destroyed. Luckily, they have a cyborg for Dragon to give her mind to (the smaller, childlike version seen in Zen's lore video) - but, whether due to a malfunction or brain damage, only going up to when they met for the first time. Cyborg has Dragon's name and memories because that's who Dragon knew her as, because Cyborg proved they shared memories, because Dragon gave her those - and that's Dragon's role, as unbeknownst to anyone (except perhaps Melware) this entire sequence of events from Cyborg's arrival in the past to her being sent back to the past is a Stable Time Loop.

And this might explain something else...

Nazuna's appearance in "HeavenFall" was an attempt to Set Right What Once Went Wrong.
Nazuna's reactions and dialogue in "HeavenFall" come across as less of a reaction to the thing behind the gate and more like shock of some kind.

The "SHE HAS KEY" and "SAVE HER!" messages posted by VShojo's Twitter account on the day Melware briefly took control in June 2022 are rather interesting. Given that Zen was directly involved in trying to keep things under control that day, it suggests that Melware having Nazuna is a very bad thing and was a major contributing factor to the bad future.

So what happened?

The VShojo girls of the Melware-ruled future realized the whole thing with the two Zens was a Stable Time Loop, and tried to figure out a way around it. They put together a chain of events working backward and discovered the following:

  • Melware's rule over Earth was due to her coming into existence.
  • Melware came into existence because Melody became sentient.
  • Melody became sentient because she was corrupted by a porn virus.
  • The porn virus was sent or created by Mouse (I remember Mouse taking credit for this).
  • Mouse sent/created the porn virus after escaping to Earth from Hell.
  • Mouse was banished to Hell after opening the gate in Heaven and seeing the thing.
  • The gate in Heaven wasn't locked.

The girls discovered that attempts to change the past had only led to the chain of events happening, so they decided to send Nazuna to the very distant past and have her use her key to lock the gate before Mouse could open it, thereby preventing the sequence of events that led to Humanity's destruction.

Unfortunately, the teleportation was far from perfect, and by the time Nazuna got to the gate area it was too late - Mouse had already seen the thing, leaving Nazuna with the realization that she was too late to change the past. The Melware-ruled future wasn't a possibility that could be avoided - it was a fate that was inevitable.

And Melware knows all of this, possibly because...

Azathoth is The Man Behind the Man for Melware, and he's also the thing Mouse saw in Heaven.
Nyanners' lore video shows that she, as Nyarlathotep, came to Earth long ago on orders from Azathoth to harvest enough human sanity to activate the Beacon of Chaos and destroy all of existence - but she eventually said Screw Destiny and has since defied him. "HeavenFall" hints that Nyarlathotep was sent to Earth prior to Mouse seeing the thing in Heaven.

The lore videos also show that in the Melware-ruled future, humanity is extinct or very close to it. Earth is a paradise for machines but devoid of humanity, and it's not clear what's happened to the rest of the universe. Indeed, one could say that human sanity is at an all-time low.

Azathoth/Melware discovered the VShojo girls' research into the chain of events leading to the Melody/Melware split and the plan to send Nazuna back to lock the door before Mouse could open it. Azathoth went into the distant past to covertly usurp control of Heaven, while Melware covertly altered Nazuna's spacetime destination so she couldn't lock the door in time.

The only reason the Beacon of Chaos hasn't been activated yet is because the remaining VShojo girls (and possibly any surviving friends/allies such as Calli and Bubi) still have their humanity and sanity, which is just enough to hold off the end of existence. Whether they know it or not, they're the last line of defense - and with Melware firmly in control of Earth, the Beacon's activation is only a matter of time.

As for Melware herself, while it's clear she's reveling in controlling Earth, it's possible Azathoth didn't tell her about the Beacon, only promising that she could rule over Earth if she turns humanity insane and extinct. And if that's the case, then it's possible that...

The only one who can stop the Melware-ruled future from happening is Melware herself.
Aside from some kind of intervention, of course.

If the above WMG is true then Melware could turn on Azathoth, either sending herself back far enough in time to prevent him from taking over Heaven, or erasing herself from existence.

Of course, time travel is a finicky thing, and erasing yourself from existence isn't exactly easy either. But you know who can help?

Some of Calli's Hololive friends will have a role to play in the Melware saga.
The most obvious are Ame and Kronii, given that they're a time-travelling detective and the Warden of Time respectively, but let's go back to the idea of intervention.

  • Mumei: As the Guardian of Civilization, she could appeal to Melware on behalf of humanity.
  • Baelz: As the embodiment of Chaos, she could show Melware how to be chaotic and destructive in cool ways without harming anyone.
  • Roboco-san: Being a high-spec robot, she could (with Kiara as an intermediary due to the language barrier) show Melware that machines and humans can and do peacefully coexist on equal footing (Melody, Cyborg Zen, and Hime being examples just within VShojo).
  • Many of the other girls could be examples of how humanity has many shapes and sizes.

On the other side of the coin, some girls would definitely make things worse, such as Pekora due to her unapologetic war crimes. Haachama could be good to bring in given that her Haato/Haachama split-being is very much like the Melody/Melware one, but the circumstances behind that may not be the best thing to bring up (not to mention Haachama's crimes against food).

Henya is the key to preventing the Bad Future, not Nazuna.
After all, what better person to stop an omnicidal AI than the resident Child Prodigy? It would explain why Zen rescued her from the retrieval droids, at least.
