Joker is related to Hyde

They have pretty similar hair, and both are technically wild cards. Hyde's title is "Unknown Actor" and "Joker" is a term for those.

Vatista plays a much larger role in the game's canon plot than she has in the arcade ladders.
For some reason or another, Vatista has been given special treatment by the developers, appearing center stage in the game's arcade flyer. Also, in the game's opening cinematic, she does not receive a cut-in featuring her name, instead getting a few seconds to herself where she's once again the central focus. Not to mention Vatista herself has mentioned that only 2 other Autonomic Nerve units are active, with concept art of the 2 others in question already surfacing. If she's not as plot critical as she's being hyped up as, then she's an Advertised Extra.

  • Semi-confirmed. Hyde's sword was made from Vatista's missing wing

Byakuya is the true killer of Orie's parents.
Given that Byakuya is implied to be a Void in human form, and his win quote towards Orie is quite taunting, it's likely he was the one who had devoured Orie's parents. Orie was most likely too young to actually recognize the one who killed her parents, and may have likely suspected Merkava at first, who did devour a couple, just not her parents.

  • Jossed. Byakuya only recently became an In-Birth.

Linne will die at the end of Chronicle Mode.
Linne's wish is to be killed for good so that she can stop stealing away the lives of the newborns she keeps possessing. Being co-developed by Arc System Works, who love killing off important characters, it seems likely that she will eventually get her wish.

  • Semi-jossed. Linne herself doesn't die, but Seth's Chronicle Mode story features Linne in a previous body that she lost before the events of the present story.

Crack theory: Wagner will join Hyde's school one day
With how similar to a harem series Hyde's situation is becoming, Wagner fits the "spoiled ojou-sama" character type perfectly. And what's better way to get her interacting with him then having Hyde helping Wagner when she first transferred?

  • More or less confirmed: Wagner is told she is to transfer to a co-ed school to further broaden her world views. It's not exactly definite that it will be Hyde's school but it's not hard to imagine the cast becoming more closely involved with one another.

Why Autonomic Nerves are rare.
Based on Vatista’s number, there had been over 10000 Autonomic Nerves in existence. However, by the time of the story, only 3 are active. It’s likely that after Vatista gave her wing to Kuon and the latter turned it into the Insulator, the Night Blade and probably other organizations saw the potential in these EXS based weapons and started actively hunting down the Autonomic Nerves to turn their wings into weapons, and because their programming prevents them from using their full power on humans, the Autonomic Nerves have a hard time defending themselves, greatly culling their numbers in the process. And judging on the number of EXS manifested weapons in the playable roster, that’s a LOT of wings harvested.

Byakuya is a Void.
His weapon can change size and length much like how a Void can take different forms (and furthermore is much like how Merkava can extend his arms to variable lengths), he has an EXS ability that can steal EXS from others and is known for eating his opponents much like how Voids have to consume EXS from In-births, there's also Merkava's comment in Byakuya's own Chronicle Mode mentioning how Merkava's stomach is like Byakuya's. Not to mention in Chronicle Mode, he blacks out after exhaustion and wakes up in a new location. Anything could have happened while he was out.

  • Chaos does make a cryptic comment about Byakuya being as if he 'fused with a Void' in Byakuya's arcade mode... Make of that what you like. Also, the known criterion for becoming a Void is losing your sanity after a Void attack. Try and claim with a straight face that Byakuya is 100% all there.

FLS users will share battle theme(s).
Future installments of Under Night Inbirth will have the Automatic Nerves (Vatista) share the theme "Snow Sisters" while voids i.e (Merkava), share the theme "Unseen Entities". The reason why being that as a collective, these "False Births" are not exactly real in a sense, and because compared to the themes of the other people in the roster, theirs are more descriptive of the race in question with the 'S' at the end of the title likely being plural.

Vatista will become Hyde's Familiar
Much like how Len became Shiki's familiar in Tsukihime, Vatista will become Hyde's in order to continue functioning outside the Hollow Night and fulfill her mission. This will serve as an alternate method for Vatista to accumulate EXS by siphoning from Hyde's supply while in exchange, she follows his directives in anything he needs her to do, enabling a symbiotic relationship and bond between the two.

Waldstein wasn't the only member to leave the Licht Kreis following the battle against the Night Blade.
When Waldstein gave the order to retreat while staying behind, there are several other subordinates that didn't heed his command and instead remained in Japan. Whether it is out of shame, fear of death, loyalty to Waldstein or something else, these "Licht Kreis Deserters" renounced their loyalty to the organization and led new lives in Japan. When the Licht Kreis decided to once again expand their influence in Japan, they sought to do so using the Licht Kreis Deserter's descendants as a foothold or foundation to make the cultural integration go smoothly. Any current Licht Kreis member with a Japanese name or origin is likely to be a descendant of a Licht Kreis Deserter i.e (Kaguya Seikaiguu, Sakurai, Murayama).

Hyde is Kuon's reincarnation.
Hyde and Kuon already have a bit in common; namely that they have similar physical features such as red eyes, multicolored hair (Blonde and black in Hyde's case, and Brown and Red in Kuon's), and even similar facial structure, and they have both wielded the Insulator. But it may go further than that, particularly, Hyde being Kuon's "Reincarnation" of sorts, considering how Linne always reincarnates when she dies, but Kuon will stay forever young in an immortal body. In the original concept for the game, Hyde was a clone split off by a man named Jekyll that was subconsciously ordered to protect Linne at any cost, Jekyll's appearance is very similar to Kuon's current appearance and attire, with the white robe with black highlights (Or belts in Kuon's case). In Hilda's Chronicle Mode story, Kuon brings up the original Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde novel when discussing the nature of Re-Births, which could possibly be a shout-out to the original concept. Going back to the fact that both Hyde and Kuon have wielded the Insulator, it's implied that Hyde is able to wield the Insulator thanks to Vatista's will, which could possibly be a subconscious aspect in Vatista's memory.

This video game will get an anime.
Because I think most of us want this to happen. The reason why story mode doesn't have much story is because it was written into the anime instead.
  • I personally don't because no fighting game anime is good and I dread it turning into some Blazblue Alter Memory garbage.

If Sys:Celes gets an English dub, the following characters will have the following actors:

All dub voices from BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will return, and the following could potentially be cast:

  • Eltnum
  • Chaos
    • Yuri Lowenthal
  • Nanase
  • Byakuya
  • Phonon
    • Amber Lee Connors
  • Wagner
    • Tara Platt
  • Enkidu
  • Londrekia
    • Sean Chiplock
  • Tsurugi
  • Kaguya
  • Kuon
    • Sadly Jossed. The game is subtitled only.
In her arcade route in Sys:Celes, Eltnum will lampshade her absence in Melty Blood: Type Lumina

And she will be pissed.

Merkava was the same person as the Hollow God
  • A new theory that has popped up after Merkava's ending in UNI2. There is a possibility that Merkava's human form is none other than the "Hollow God" of 500 eyars ago. There are quite a few pieces of evidence that point to this being the case.
    • Their similar hair.
    • The fact that both characters are intimately connected with the Hollow Night.
    • Merkava outright mentions becoming a "Hollow God" in the scene directly before he becomes human after he defeats Kuon.
    • The uncertain nature of Merkava's existence. The ending where he becomes human seems to suggest that he may have been a Void that managed to become human, but then turned back into a Void and had the human mind within him subsumed.
