WMG / My Little Pony: FIENDship Is Magic

Go To

Cadence is part of Amore.
A pony tryed to put her back togather not knowing who it was and assumed she was a Pegasus.
Hope was Driven to Suicide after Sombra cursed the Empire away.
Despite her candidacy for Princess-hood, why haven't we seen or even heard of her beyond Fiendship #1? Because she went too far over the Despair Event Horizon after Celestia and Luna revealed their Pyrrhic Victory. And worse: her Healing Hands magic, which could've highly helped Equestria's medical fields, instead followed her into death. She may have subverted Sombra's Cruel Mercy, but she wasted her talent.
  • And her final resting place was the swamp the changelings eventually spawned from.
  • Seconded. It would most definitely make an incredible twist that the "Origin Story" that Chrysalis gave to the Mane Six was total BS to fool them, and that her true origin is much darker - Sombra turned Radiant Hope into the first Changeling. He did state in his journal after all that he had a spell reserved just for her as punishment for ratting him out. Since the love of his life essentially betrayed him, and that he believes fear far surpasses love, how ironic would it be for Radiant Hope to be cursed to depend on that very emotion for power and sustenance for the rest of her life?
    • And who says a certain "acorn" didn't come from him to begin with?
  • Jossed by main series #34, the sequel to this issue. Radiant Hope is still alive, doesn't seem to have aged, and restores Sombra's body.

After Sombra's defeat, Hope declined Celestia and Luna's offer of princesshood.
As a symbolic gesture: she chose to Screw Destiny to prove that Sombra could have done the same.

Sombra is an Unwitting Pawn.
Isn't it a little bit suspicious how easily Sombra's "mother" revealed to him his true nature and mission, or how readily he seemed to believe her? There is a possibility that Sombra really was once a normal orphaned Unicorn, and that the Umbrum found him (or killed his parents), wiped his memory clean and implanted false new ones, then proceeded to experiment and infuse him with their own dark magic to partially convert him into one of them. Once that was done, they set him up to be found by the Crystal Guard, and the rest is; as they say, history.

The Siren's story is Lighter and Softer because Star Swirl (who's been shown to be a bit of a Pinkie-esq ditz at times) is the one telling it.
There was a lot more fighting, mayhem and chaos than what was actually seen in the story but Star Swirl didn't describe it as well because he was more focused on the music battles.

Alternatively, Star Swirl focused on the Lighter and Softer parts of the Siren's story when writing it down because he believed they could have been redeemed.
And he threw them into the future for the same reason: he hoped that one day somepony could figure out what he was missing and could use it to do what he could not.

Hope was Cadence's ancestor.
Either that or a piece of Amore influenced her creation/birth. Or both.

The kingdom Tirek comes from is a land of creatures made up of other types of creatures.
They have the centaurs, which are pony/humanoids, the gargoyles which resemble lion/bats, and Discord.

The skeletons that took part in the Changeling's origin was...
The remains of the citizens of the Hearts and Hooves Day kingdom. And Chrysalis was born from the corpse of the Princess herself.

The aftermath of King Orion's fall is much darker
Rainbow Dash just made the ending more poetic. Here's the unromantic version. The changelings were hired by Emperor Caligula, ruler or Trot, to take Timbucktu under siege and usurping King Orion. After that Chrysalis and her children succeed in taking over the floating empire, Scorpio and his men took over the kingdom and gorge out the eyes off all the twinkly-eye citizens, including Orion and sold most of them to the black market while keeping Orion's eyes as proof of Trot's victory over Timbuctu
