Future Opponents
It's been already confirmed that a Hollow Knight week is coming in a future update, with it later being confirmed that the opponent will be Hornet but there could obviously be future opponents aside from that.- Given that Shovel Knight, Untitled Goose Game, and Five Nights at Freddy's appear during the opening, they could definitely show up in future updates.
- To be more specific for a UGG week, The Horrible Goose could gain at least two more songs to fill out a week so it doesn't only have "GOSE".
- Commenting on the FNAF week, definitely would love to see Freddy as the main opponent instead of an expected character like Afton or Golden Freddy, would be pretty neat to have Freddy actually star in his own week. Or maybe they could pull a VS. FNAF and save Golden Freddy for the final song.
- A week with a fighting indie game, such as Skullgirls, Rivals of Aether, or Them's Fightin' Herds. Maybe multiple.
- An OMORI week, with the titular character or Sunny as the main opponent.
- Why not both? Maybe actions you take during the songs will set you on either a Sunny or Hikikomori route where you either help Sunny separate from Omori or let him completely fall into denial.
- A week based on Celeste, featuring Madeline as the main opponent.
- Given that a file with her name on it appears in the files of the streamer build, this seems pretty likely.

- A week featuring Night in the Woods, starring Mae as the main opponent and maybe Gregg for a bonus song.
- Given that Quote and Curly are often considered the faces of indie gaming, it wouldn't make sense if they weren't in at some point.
- Someone from Touhou Project, likely Reimu and/or Marisa.
- A Bonus Song from Kiwi The Bard. He's already an indie game about music, so it's a perfect fit!
- A week based on Hotline Miami with Jacket as the main opponent.
- A week based on OFF with the Batter serving as the main opponent.
- A Week based on Monster Prom with either Damien, Scott, Polly, or Zoe of the main opponent
- A Week based on Dead Cells with the beheaded as the main opponent.
- A Week based on Inscryption with Leshy as the main opponent.

- A Week based on A Hat in Time with Hat Kid as the main opponent.
- A Week based on One Shot with Niko as the main opponent.

The mastermind behind Boyfriend getting thrown into other indie games...
...would be none other than Daddy Dearest. Not only would it make sense, seeing as Dearest has thrown Boyfriend into a game before (Hating Simulator), but Friday Night Funkin' is also an indie game, which fits the theme of the mod. Bonus points if his songs takes from plenty of other main-game songs.- Sans inserting the "Roses" motif in the middle of his second song definitely brings Week 6 to mind.
- Another suspect would be the Author Avatar of the original director of this mod: Moro. It has been established in some videos like this one that he can summon those portals. MORØ also made a YouTube community post stating that we will learn more about these portals in the mod.
- Additionally, the hooded figure that appears upon losing any of the Nightmare songs looks very similar to Moro's OC. Compare his actual silhouette at the beginning of this video to the figure in-game◊.
- All of this is Jossed, the figure shown in the intro was confirmed to be Nightmare Girlfriend by the current director in an interview. I also genuinely doubt that they'd stick someone who isn't associated with the project into this mod.
- Additionally, the hooded figure that appears upon losing any of the Nightmare songs looks very similar to Moro's OC. Compare his actual silhouette at the beginning of this video
Potential Nightmare designs for potentially upcoming opponents
- Hornet's main color could be white, and her Nightmare song would tie into either her status as offspring of the Pale King, or the pale flowers that were shown in both the teasers for Silksong and the Godmaster update in the original game. Her Nightmare difficulty could potentially be Godly (due to being the Pale King's child), Hollow (referencing the vessels), or Radiant (referencing the Godhome difficulty and the Radiance herself).
- Isaac's main color could be red, and his Nightmare song would tie into him making a deal with his devil in order to obtain power, effectively making him a Foil to Cuphead. His design could incorporate any of the Devil Deals found throughout the game, most likely of which being Brimstone. His Nightmare difficulty could potentially be named Sacrificial (in accordance to the game's backstory).
- Madeline's main color could be purple, and her Nightmare song would connect to Badeline.
- Baldi's main color could be green, and his Nightmare song would incorporate the game's intentionally broken nature.
