- What Could Have Been:
- The cutscenes for Cuphead's week were going to be much different from the final release. Namely, there was no voice acting, the first cutscene would've had the dialogue styled like in the original game, and Cuphead was hired to kill Boyfriend, which would serve as the explanation as to why he's attacking Boyfriend in the first place.
- Following MORØ's departure from the team, the mod's story was majorly rewritten
since most of it was his brainwork.
- Word of God: MORØ, the mod's creator, stated on Twitter that Indie Cross was inspired by DAGames's song for Cuphead, "Brothers in Arms", where Cuphead fights The Puppet, The Neighbor, and fittingly enough the Ink Demon in Cuphead-style boss battles.
