Varmintz Deluxe is a game released in March 10, 2004 by Skunk Studios, reminiscent to Frogger. In each level, the process goes as follows: you start off as Binki, and there are various obstacles that try to stop you, and when you touch one, you lose a life and have to start over at the last area you spawned at. When you successfully complete the level by getting into any of the empty dens, the level later differentiates depending on each character you've got when you've completed their variations (Shady, Ruben, Bean and Lulu, respectively).

The video game contains the tropes of:

  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Bean's fur has shades of dark magenta.
  • Aerith and Bob: We have natural names (Bean and Lulu), unusual spellings of them (Binki and Ruben), and a completely unusual name (Shady).
  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: One of the obstacles you need to avoid is a sasquatch, they made their first appearance at the Bonus Level of "Backwoods Shenanigans", but they don't act as a threat until "Forest Frolicking".
  • Bubblegloop Swamp: The Marshland Madness and Swamp Stank Redemption are the fifth and tenth (the latter is also the final) stages, and generally the most difficult stages among their halves of the game.
  • Catchphrase:
    • Four of the raccoons say at least one phrase once you play as them:
      Binki: "Let's go!"
      Ruben: "Alrighty then!"
      Bean: "I'm ready."
      Lulu: "I can do it!"
    • They also say phrases when they get into the burrows at the end:
      Binki: "Yeah!"
      Shady: "Brilliant!"
      Ruben: "Alright!"
      Lulu: "I made it!"
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: In true Frogger-esque fashion, you'll get killed by just about everything, ranging from crazed residents (which includes some of the anthromorphic animals), ongoing vehicles, environmental hazards, etc.
  • Evil Laugh: Shady lets out one when you start a varied level as him.
  • Fire Means Chaos: "Suburban Breakdown" is set in a version of the "Suburbia Derbia" where escaped convicts have caused a ruckus around the neighborhood, with the police officers attempting to apprehend them. It has houses and vehicles being set on fire as a result of said chaos.
  • Funny Animal: Aside from the human residents, some of the residents are animals that can stand and walk upright. The latter can even ride vehicles (bikes and cars).
  • Gold Makes Everything Shiny: The eggs that the raccoons snag, and collecting enough of them will give you a 1-Up. There is even a golden raccoon head which can instantly grant an extra life if collected.
  • The Hedge of Thorns: The dens of the raccoons are lined up among green thorny vines, and you will lose a life if you land on them (or on a taken den).
  • MacGuffin: The golden eggs.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: The playable raccoons are anti-aliased and have black outlines.
  • Tsurime Eyes: Shady has these.
  • Tareme Eyes: Bean slightly seems to have these.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Lulu is the only playable raccoon who is female.
  • Shout-Out: The duck enemies look hella familiar...
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Lulu sports a yellow bow to showcase her gender.
  • Xtreme Kool Letterz: Used in the game's title.
