Fire Emblem: Justice and Pride is a ROM Hack of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones with an original story set in the continent of Irona.

Legends tell that the when mankind was being terrorized by darkness and monster, the Hero of Light appeared and vanquished the monster, then sealed them away in the Spire of Darkness. The continent lived in peace for centuries. In the year 489, conflict begins to stir among the continent, with the Emperor Perseus holding an iron grip over various duchies. To make things worse, monsters have spawned from the Spire of Darkness and terrorized the small folks.

One day, Prince Travis of Abrein is on a mission to vanquish a group of monsters along with his trusted retainer Donovan. The mission goes south when a powerful dark mage named Caelia captures and kills Travis, leaving Donovan alive to break the sad news to Duke Simon and Princess Aderyn.

Eleven years later, Duke Simon decides to rebel against the empire, and charge Princess Aderyn with the command of a small army. Princess Aderyn would now begin her journey to free her homeland from both the empire and the monsters, as well as avenge her brother's death.

The hack initially had a sequel in development, but this would wind up getting canceled. Instead, the author remade an older hack of theirs and set it roughly twenty years after this one. This other hack, Justice and Pride Gaiden: Clash in Estria, is also fully playable from start to finish, yet has a very different gameplay style inspired by New Mystery of the Emblem's player phase-centric higher difficulties.

A prequel, Fire Emblem Justice and Pride: Birth of Chaos was announced in FEE3 2021, though it was ultimately cancelled. In turn, the sequel was hinted at being remade from the ground up, potentially to be finished in the future. This was later confirmed, and the hack, Justice & Pride: Book 2 Remake was announced at FEE3 2022.

Tropes in Fire Emblem: Justice And Pride:

  • Ace Custom: Donovan's class is Grand Paladin, which is a Paladin who can use bows in addition to swords and lances.
  • Archnemesis Dad:
    • Leon's and Melinda's father Walter is on the opposite side of the war. Leon is hostile towards his father, while Melinda is more civil towards Walter. She is unsuccessful at convincing him to Aderyn's side, but she can obtain an item from him.
    • Certain supports reveal that Richter's father, namely Ricardo is this to him. He doesn't have a quote towards him, however.
  • Anti-Frustration Feature: The game avoids Guide Dang It! issues by having the War Room provide the player with information about recruitment, enemy reinforcement, secret shop, and gaiden chapter requirements.
  • Big Brother Worship: Flashbacks show that Aderyn idolized Travis a lot when she was young.
  • Crutch Character:
    • Donovan is as standard as a Jagen gets. He is by far the most powerful units in the early game, capable of killing weaker enemies in one hit and severely damages the armored Knights, as well as tanking multiple attacks to defend your weaker starting units. While his endgame performance isn't horrible by any mean, he becomes outclassed by your promoted units.
    • Luigi is a strange example. In the early game he is useful since he essentially takes the place of two healers. In the mid game, when you start promoting your magic units, his lack of combat makes him inferior to your more versatile Combat Medics. Once you obtain the Warp Stave, however, his high Power stat and his ability to use Staves twice makes him incredible for quick clear of lategame chapters.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Travis is set up to be the protagonist. He is the Lord of the Prologue, and his gameplay is very similar to Ephraim. However, he is quickly killed at the end of the prologue and the game switches to Aderyn.
  • Disc-One Nuke:
    • Aside from the Crutch Character Donovan, the game also hands you a Master Seal as early as the end of Chapter 7. This means you can turn either Leon or Melinda into a powerhouse as the beginning of Chapter 8.
    • Averted with the power spells Hellfire and Extinction. They are extremely powerful spells and are obtained in early gaiden chapters, but their weapon ranks are so high that no one in your army can use them yet.
  • Disappeared Dad:
    • Donovan leaves his son Phineas again after Travis' death to fight for Abrein's cause, which leaves them with an estranged relationship. Phineas eventually accepts that Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You if Donovan recruits him.
    • Walter leaves his wife and his children behind to pursue mercenary work. This makes Leon grow bitter over his abandonment while Melinda still hopes to reunite with her father.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger:
    • The Great Hermit takes the role of Gotoh and Athos. He can either support your army with Staves or take on the remaining bosses himself.
    • Duke Simon joins at the same time as the Great Hermit. He is rather slow, but he has decent mobility and his physical defense is among the best of your army
  • Fallen Hero:
    • Caelia is the Hero of Light herself. She became a hero purely for fame and glory, but when Irona's throne was handed to her brother, she became bittered and schemed her way through the Imperial Court.
    • The Onyx Dragoon is the prince of Abrein, resurrected and brainwashed by Caelia after she killed him.
  • Informed Ability: Aderyn and Simon talk about how Light magic is strong against monsters. In gameplay, Light Magic inflicts regular damage against monsters, and only the highest ranked Light Tomes deal effective damage against them.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: The Onyx Dragoon turns out to be Aderyn's brother.
  • Magic Knight: Malig Knights and Harriers are promotion options for the Wyvern Rider and Pegasus Knight classes respectively. They can use both Lances and Tomes (Dark for Malig Knights, Anima for Pegasus Knights). Because the Power stat determines both physical and magical attacks, both classes are very good at this role.
  • Magikarp Power:
    • George is the resident trainee unit. He has pathetic base stats, but he has a lot of room to grow with solid growths and a lot of promotion options. It helps that he joins fairly early.
    • Catarina serves as the Est of this game. She joins after the midgame with pathetic stats and level compared to the rest of your team. She makes up for this with high growth rate across the board (with the exception of 10% Defense growth) and the Paragon skill, which doubles her EXP gain.
    • Aderyn is a downplayed version of this trope. For the first half of the game she provides serviceable ranged attacks, but is nothing special compared to your early promoted units. Once she promotes, however, she becomes the equivalent of the Valkyrie class, a capable Combat Medic with high mobility. She is arguably the best user of Exordium, the best Light Tome of the game.
  • Maybe Ever After: If Aderyn and Melinda reaches A-Support, then their ending shows that they remain close friends and there are rumors that they have feelings for each other, but no romance is confirmed.
  • Mutually Exclusive Party Members: Trevor and Richter are recruited depending on which position Aderyn is when starting Chapter 17, but she cannot recruit both due to the gimmick of the map, and the lack of Warp/Rescue staves at the moment.
  • Mutually Exclusive Power-Ups: On Chapter 15, there are 3 available skills (Bowrange+1, Re-Move, Critical Force to be obtained by the person talking to the spirit corresponding to the skill. However, choosing one of them locks out the other skills in the process, so choose wisely.
  • Obvious Rule Patch: This game uses a patch which disables the use of the Mine glitch, heavily reducing its viability outside of certain strategies.
  • Samus Is a Girl: A major twist is that the Hero of Light was actually Caelia.
  • Shout-Out: The War Room is a reference to the War Room in Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Similar in that game, the War Room provides tips and tactics as well as shows amusing interaction between characters.
  • Sibling Team:
    • Leon and Melinda are two siblings fighting under Aderyn. Melinda is a loyal Abrenian retainer, while Leon is a freelance mercenary hired by Simon.
    • Derrick and Tabitha are also two archer siblings on your side.
  • Silliness Switch: The non-canon War Room sessions not only provide tips for the player, but they also show the characters goofing around and snarking at each other.
  • Status Buff: The Relic items provide a whopping +5 boosts in a certain stats for anyone holding them.
  • Support Party Member:
    • Similar to most Dancers in Fire Emblem, Krystal can refresh a friendly unit so they can move again.
    • Despite being a promoted unit, Luigi is a terrible combat unit, thanks to all of his stats except for Power being terrible. What he can do, however, is to use Staves twice in a turn, and his high Power stat makes him an incredible user of the Sleep, Physic, and Warp staves.
  • Unique Enemy: There's only one enemy Grand Paladin in the game, and it's only found in Chapter 27.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: Perseus executes his imperial oppression because he wants to turn Irona into a utopia.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: The Witch class in this game wields both Light and Dark magic.
