"Now, come with me, boy... There's so much of this world... that I want to show you."

Directed by Mr. X, FNF: Lord X Wrath is a mod for Friday Night Funkin' crossing over with Sonic PC Port.

Following the events of Cycles back in Vs Sonic.exe, Lord X isn't letting Boyfriend go, but rather bringing him much deeper into his world. And without Girlfriend OR Pico by his side, can the blue-haired rapper survive the horrors of Lord X's hostile domain?

This mod contains the following tropes:

  • Art Shift:
    • The Story Mode menu and cutscenes (alongside several Game Over screens) are designed in a 16-bit artstyle, harkening back to the original game.
    • Some sections of the upcoming update, like one part of the remastered "Conscience Wrath Mix" and the entirety of "Divine Intervention", are rendered with 3D models of the respective characters.
  • The Cameo: During "Nightmare Before Christmas", Tails Doll can be seen in the background watching the song play out.
  • Christmas Episode: "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Petrifying Peppermint" are both Lighter and Softer songs themed around Christmas, with Lord X celebrating the occasion with fellow hedgehogs: Exetior and Exeller for "Nightmare Before Christmas" and Sunky for "Petrifying Peppermint" respectively.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: While currently ambiguous in the base game, aside from Lord X, the Guardians and Boyfriend, every character that's not alive or demonic has experienced this in some fashion:
    • Pico had his eyes gouged out and his faceholes stretched wide.
    • Girlfriend's a mess as well, her eyes also missing, and in artwork by one of the developers, An Arm and a Leg painfully broken.
    • Alan/Tails had his skin ripped off and placed back onto his skeleton.
    • Knuckles had his head impaled and was turned into a marionette.
    • Robotnik, while looking zombified and his jaw dangling, surprisingly doesn't look worse for wear compared to everyone else, leaving one to wonder exactly what Lord X did to him.
    • Amy had her arm chopped off and chest ripped through.
    • Alice/Cream was skinned and sewed into a living doll.
    • Sally had her jaw ripped open.
    • Boyfriend can be subject to these in the full release, as demonstrated in CoverRuisna's Streamer Build:
      • If he loses in "Sagas", not only will he get attacked and subsequently blueballed, but his soul will be sucked right out of his body through an overhead portal.
      • If he loses in "Joyous", Kofuku takes the motive of blinding him with paint, right before impaling him with dark-blue spikes.
  • Darker and Edgier: And how. Lord X Wrath leans extremely hard into the horror aspects, including oodles of Body Horror when it comes to the appearances of his victims. It goes to show that, while Lord plays fair compared to most other takes on Sonic.exe, he is also extremely dangerous, and not to be taken lightly.
  • Death by Adaptation:
    • Girlfriend and Pico, both capable fighters in canon, are both killed off by Lord X in this mod.
    • Alan, the main protagonist of PC Port, seems to have failed to survive in this mod and was killed, becoming a servant to the monster.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Aside from Lord X himself, Exetior also has a deep singing voice.
  • Graceful Loser: Played With. Lord X comes across as this in the opening cutscene, but then proceeds to goad Boyfriend by proposing a 'best out of three' clause. By the cutscene preceding "Gatekeepers", however, Yokubo begins to feel Lord X might really not like losing, considering he'd never normally go THAT far against a mortal.
  • Interface Screw:
    • Throughout "Conscience Wrath Mix", the game window moves about constantly and turns transparent until the song ends, with only Anti-X and the player's strumline visible.
    • Hitting the dark-blue notes during "Joyous" causes parts of the screen to be covered in dark-blue paint, obscuring your vision a bit, in keeping with Kofuku's association with blue.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: During the long cutscene preceding "Gatekeepers", while Lord X is explaining the rules of his "Tournament of X", Boyfriend takes a moment to give an Aside Glance and point out the option to skip the cutscene with the Enter key, in case anyone's getting tired of waiting.
  • Promoted to Playable:
    • Lord X becomes the playable character for "Nightmare Before Christmas", while Sunky takes this role instead for "Petrifying Peppermint".
    • Girlfriend and Pico are each set to be the playable characters of the mod's upcoming prologue.
  • Schmuck Bait: Lord X employs this to goad Boyfriend into placing himself in further danger by saying "Best out of three?" after losing in Cycles. Needless to say, he takes the bait.
  • Shout-Out: The beginning of "Demonization" is accompanied by Vincent Price's voice lines from "Thriller".
  • Suddenly Voiced: Lord X notwithstanding, compared to the other guardians, who simply use different chromatics (with Kito chiming his voice in at one point during "Divine Intervention"), Kyofu is voiced for the entirety of "Haunting", doing proper rapping against Boyfriend. Lord X himself joins in with this during one section.
  • What If?: The whole events of "Rapture" hold this in high regard, depicting a scenario where Lord X really DID lay Mobius to waste, hence why Boyfriend is depicted as a Mobian bat throughout the song.
  • Wolfpack Boss: For "Slaves", Lord X sics Alan, Knuckles and Robotnik onto Boyfriend with their disfigurations intact. This will extend to Amy, Alice and Sally in a future update.
